Hi all, I’ve been a bit quiet sorry. I just wanted to update and say so far so good. I am waiting for my midwife appointment and the 12 weeks scan, all the tests etc. IVF makes it feel like you’ve been doing it a lifetime, because we stop drinking alcohol earlier and being careful etc.
I am still wary to think this is it, I’ve had a few scares and I’m still only 9 weeks and 3 days. I’ve been discharged from the IVF clinic and had my first doctors app. Started reading a bit about what’s to come but quite apprehensive.
I hope everyone is doing really well! X

I haven't been following your posts, however so pleased to read all is going well for you . I know after years of infertility and ivf it must be hard to relax as you say and think this is it. It's hard to accept or take these things for granted. Congratulations on your pregnancy and so wishing all stays well lots of luck and love to you 💖💖💖
you are doing really well, keep going. My counselor says a mantra to me to say "today I seem to still be pregnant" or "today I am pregnant" if I feel worried about things.
Not sure if that's any help
💖
Hey Penney! Lovely to hear from you and to hear all is well ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻I’m cautious too about reading baby stuff, want to at least be out of the first trimester before starting to think about more ‘practical’ stuff 😉sending love! 💋
Hey! I’m glad everything is going well with you Issy!
I’ve got a book by a midwife called Clemmie which looks quite good so far. I started looking at new born stuff the other day and got scared, walked away.
But I feel so lucky to be here and getting more confident that the little alfalfa is sticking around.
I know I was looking at websites earlier and couldn’t do it lol I’ve had my first antenatal appointment and have my 12w scan booked for 11th April (when I’ll be 13w though) ....but I’m also doing the harmony test on 28th March. Lots of waiting and anxiety before making it out of the first trimester, let’s be hopeful! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻💋💋💋💋💋💋
I too am 9 weeks pregnant. I've just had my midwife appointment and have my scan date for the 6th. Its feels so long away. I know I should enjoy being pregnant but I feel like I cant relax until I get to 12 weeks. I think IVF has made me more apprehensive. I think the 2ww definitely made me tune into my body more looking out for cramps and any signs and that's continued so I'm more on edge 🤦🏼♀️ the midwife appointment is really easy and nothing you wont be used to. Weight, height, blood pressure pee sample, bloods then a few questions about family history which being through ivf youll know all the answers off the back of your hand😂
So glad to hear you’re doing well Penney! I know it feels like it’s dragging but you’re less than 3 weeks away from the end of your first trimester now, you’re getting there! Do you have your scan date through yet?xx
I’m the same. I am 8 weeks +4. Waiting for my scan which isn’t till 13 weeks. Also been discharged from clinic. Feels like I have known forever and can’t wait to tell my daughter. Roll on the next few weeks. Good luck with everything x
Morning Penney, hoping the next few weeks aren’t too hard for you. I totally understand how u feel I too am 9 weeks had my first scare at 7 weeks and another one during the week.
The doctors have said my pregnancy is now high risk on total rest. Can’t relax or get excited cause so worried the bean won’t make it.
