After egg collection yesterday, had the call from the embryologist this morning and so pleased that it's good news so far.
Out of 26 eggs (thought they'd said 28 yesterday, must've been the drugs π) 17 were mature and 16 have fertilised!
Still very aware that things can change at this time and just hoping that a good number of them develop so we have something to transfer or freeze.
Having to closely monitor my fluid balance for the next few days and have appointments booked to check up on me & decide whether it's still safe to go ahead with a fresh transfer.
Good luck to everyone else waiting for news today! π€π» xx

Thank you. Always waiting for some news or other aren't we? As soon as we get one bit of news it's on to worrying about what will happen next, but this is good news so will be trying to stay positive. x
Thanks. Hope you're ok today. I had horrible cramps whilst in recovery which were so bad they made me feel sick and the nurses on the unit weren't concerned (I don't mean that in a bad way - they were sympathetic about my pain but didn't think it was anything to worry about).
Amazing news!! 16 is incredible!!! A very good number to be starting with! Fingers crossed for lots of strong embies πͺπΌ β€οΈππ€πΌππΌ xxxx
Not sure, although I think my number is well above the average number. I had a 'good' response to the stimulation meds due to having polycystic ovaries (although i don't have PCOS).
But with this is the risk of hyperstimulation which can be very dangerous. So I'm under close monitoring. I've been for an appointment today where they do my observations and take blood, and I've had to monitor my fluid balance very carefully since collection. So far I'm doing ok though and should be well enough for transfer on Sunday x
Yep thank you, good news from the embryologist today. 11 of the embryos are developing well, with a couple slightly ahead of expectations. So providing I stay well, hoping the best one will be transferred back on Sunday x
Hope those embryos are still going strong for you and that you are well! Keeping my fingers crossed for you for Sunday - have they frozen any already? Xx
I'm so happy to hear this and so hopeful. I have PCO as well (but not PCOS) and really hope I get the same outcome... will know in a few weeks when I start πππ
Good luck with your cycle! I was so worried I was going to get ohss but luckily I'm now fine. And I feel a bit better now I know I'll have something in the freezer too x
