So Iv just read an article on the daily mail and it’s said that success of a FET can almost double if the transfer is done 6 days after ovulation instead of 7? Had anyone had this and been successful? Or do most clinics just do on day 7.

Currently in the same situation! Ovulation is going to be tomorrow or Sunday I think (lines are getting darker on sticks). Keep me updated with yours please, are u currently doing a cycle? Xx
Mine was day 7 and not successful and I have been wondering recently if it should have been earlier as I’ve read some ladies have had transfer 5 days after. I thought it depended whether you had your surge in the morning or at night. Mine was at night.
I have a follow up Monday so will be asking x
My first cycle was 7 and didn’t work. So wondering if it’s because of that.
My latest natural fet was 6 days but my embryo was a 6 day old blastocyst so I’m assuming they calculate by how old the embryo is?
Do you know how old your embryos are?
At my clinic they count day 6 blastocysts as day 5 so the transfer day would be the same although I have no idea why it was 7 for me x
My embryo is a day 5. I’m back at my clinic on 17th for a scan and bloods so will ask then see what they think xx
Hope it all goes well Samb87, Maybe they have a good reason to wait til day 7, let us know what they say x
There is definitely evidence out there to show that some ladies do benefit from a different transfer date. I’m not sure about a natural transfer but with medicated, embryos tend to be transferred on day 5 as standard to mirror your natural cycle. I don’t know if all clinics offer it but you can pay for an ERA test (I think it stands for endometrial receptivity analysis) to determine when your uterus is most receptive to receiving the transfer and then you transfer the embryo according to the day the test says. It’s one of the add-ons that I don’t think HEFA rates particularly highly but I’ve heard of ladies having success after having it done and changing days. (I don’t place huge weight on the HEFA ratings - i don’t think any of the add-ons will automatically guarantee success for anyone. But if it happens to be an add-on which solves your particular issue then I think it will work. The problem with HEFA ratings is that add-ons are given to ladies who either don’t have the issue it is designed to solve or they have other issues too so one add-on alone isn’t going to solve it).
