Hi ladies, I hope you're all well.
Not sure if anyone can help.
I had 2 FET on 28 January 2020 and after 14 days I got a positive test. These were 5 days blastocyst.
2 weeks later I had a very heavy bleed and I had assumed I had miscarried with both. After sitting in the A&e for 5 hours I was transferred to the gynae assessment unit. Blood was taken to test my HCg level and I was sent home as the bleeding had stopped. The next day I was informed that my HCG levels were high and to come in for a scan the next day. By my calculations I was 6weeks on the day of my scan.
The scan showed one normal yolk sac but no fetal pole. I was asked to come in 2 weeks time for a visibility scan. I did ask for another blood test but NHS refused on the basis that there was a sac and they think I was measuring at 5 weeks (1 week less than ivf calculations). My scan was booked at my ivf clinic on 4.3.20 . I should be 7 + 6 weeks pregnant. During my scan at my clinic they saw a heartbeat. I'm measuring 6 +6 weeks and I was told that my yolk sac was measuring at 7.8mm which is higher than what they expected but strong heartbeat.
They have called me in for another scan next week but the nurse told me that she has seen it go either way and doesnt want to build my hope's up. Sometimes the sac corrects itself and other time it can lead to a miscarriage.
I just dont understand how the yolk sac which was measuring normal at 6 weeks has increased so much. I know my baby is measuring 1 week less but I'm just hoping that implantation was late.
Has anyone gone through anything similar and have any success stories ?
Thank you all in advance xx
