Hi everyone new here but seem to be constantly typing up posts 🙈 I’ve had egg collection on Monday and been in hospital since Monday evening with OHSS- embryo is supposed to be implanted have to go see the clinic on Friday to see whether this will even be possible? Any advice, allergic to codeine so they’ve put me on oramorph and blood thinners not sure what the blood thinners are for but I’m now worried about the outcome, anyone have any words of advice on how to. Feel better or anyone been in a similar situation? Many thanks in advance 🙈 x

Oh you poor thing! I'm so sorry you're in hospital 😫 it happened to me on my first go, the blood thinners are to prevent the blood clotting which can happen with ohss. It depends on how you feel, if your body really isn't ready I would definitely freeze the embryo and have your transfer when you are fully recovered they gave me the go ahead to have my transfer after being in hospital, tbh (I pretended I was a lot better than I was as I was scared they wouldn't transfer) unfortunately my embryo didnt make it to that stage so my cycle was abandoned! Awful round!

Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery and even if they give you the go ahead for transfer only do what you think you can cope with xxxx

I’m so sorry you had to go through the same thing! It’s awful really, I’m wondering if I could do the same thing and pretend I feel a bit better but then I also don’t want to risk the embryo not attaching! Wishing you good luck with your journey and thank you for the advice/input ❤️🤞🏻

Oh lovely, sorry to hear this. I hope you feel better soon. I’m still feeling rubbish if it’s any consolation definitely not hospital worthy though you poor thing. What have the hospital advised? Xx

That I drink lots of water and take blood thinners and have another appointment tomorrow with fertility to see whether we can go ahead 😩 how you feeling now? Xxx
