Hi I’m going through my first one now after failed fresh cycle in October. Transferring Friday🤞🏻🙏🏻

Good luck hope it goes well! I just had my EC last week, they don't want me to have a fresh transfer as I'm at risk of OHSS so I have to wait until my natural period comes after this bleed. Keep us updated on how it goes x

in reply to AP86

Hi AnisahP I’m in the same boat as you, I had my EC yesterday and due to risk of OHSS I’m having a FET too when I get my natural period!

Oh cool I have a waiting buddy! Have u had the call this morning from embryologist?

in reply to AP86

Yes I did get a call. 11 eggs have fertilised out of the 16 collected. They will ring again tomorrow morning to let me know how many turned into embryos.

That's really good! Those calls are so nerve wrecking! I had 8 fertilised and at day 5 they froze 2. Good luck x

Thank you I will keep you updated x

I had my frozen transfer Monday, blood test day next Thursday... Was the most awful experience but at least it's done now. Felt very mixed emotions xxx

Good luck! Hope its good news for you! Why was it an awful experience? Do you mean emotionally? Not long to wait for your blood test. Isn't it 2 weeks?x

Thyr had to use a different type of catheter to get the embryo in, very painful experience. I didn't have this the first time round, so wasn't expecting it. Just wanted it done! Very mixed in emotions when I left as was just shocked about the whole experience. My blood test is on 12th March xx

Hi Anisah,

I had a frozen transfer in January which was successful. Happy to answer any questions you might have x

AP86 in reply to KiboXX

Hi Kibo thanks for that. Hope it all goes well for u! Did you have a natural cycle one or medicated? And how long did it take from the first day of your period?x

KiboXX profile image
KiboXX in reply to AP86

Hi AnisahP, thank you!

I opted for a medicated one. Started taking progynova tablets on first day of my period, had my transfer 15 days later. Was all really quick and straight forward! x

That does sound quick. I'm still yet to bleed after my EC last week but they said to me when I come on my period again after that, then I need to let them know and go in on 10th day and they'll get me to take ovulation tests but I don't ovulate 2 weeks after, it's nornally later. Then they'll put it in around then. They want to test my progesterone again and the decide which protocol I'll be on but likely it's be the natural one which seems quite long but I guess they know best!

Did you have 1 embryo put in? What was the quality?

KiboXX profile image
KiboXX in reply to AP86

Yeah that’s quite normal for them to want you to have a period first! I had my EC in November and then did my transfer in Jan. I opted for a freeze all cycle though as we did PGS testing.

Just the one embryo and my clinic doesn’t tell you the quality. All I know is it was PGS normal and good enough to freeze 😊 xx

Hi Anisah. I'm sure your little embies will be quite safe waiting for transfer once frozen. Best to make sure you are completely well before any transfer. Make sure you drink plenty of water too. Good luck! Diane

Thanks Diane! I really hope they will be ok. The waiting game is hard but hopefully my patience will pay off x

Hi Anisah. Waiting is always terrible. You are the most important one, as others in your situation are. Your little ones are safe. All the best when you come to transfer. Diane xx

Hi Anisah,

I had a natural transfer last month, it wasn’t successful for me but I much preferred the non medicated way. The transfer itself was fine also ☺️

Good luck! Xx

Hi Anisah, I had a frozen transfer of a single 5AA blas on 28th Feb. I tested today which is 7 days after transfer and got a bfn so pretty down about it. The process itself was fine I just think it didn’t work for me. We did a natural cycle with 9mm endo thickness and trilaminar so everything was positive I think we’ve just been unlucky. It’s an awful feeling, I wish I had waited until my OTD 13th March xxx

I'm really sorry to hear that but tbh that doesn't mean it's nevative. I've read on here people got negatives when they tested ewrlie but then got a positive. It's too early to test. So don't get upset. Don't test again until the day you're supposed to. I really hope it'll be good news for you. What's trilaminar?

Chowlady14 profile image
Chowlady14 in reply to AP86

Thank you for your positive words. Trilaminar (not sure of spelling) is something to do with the layers of your uterine lining. My RE suggests that thickness is not everything and that if you have a good trilaminar appearing lining this accounts for more than just the thickness. I struggled to get my thickness up but last few days it grew lots. I drank pomegranate juice daily & ate Brazil nuts. I’m sure it helped xxx

Congratulations! So happy for u! Are u having twins? Was it your first IVF cycle? What were the quality of the embryos?

Hi Anisah,

I'll be having a transfer on Saturday. First frozen, 2 previous failed fresh cycles.

I'm praying with everything I have that it works.

What cycle are you doing?

AP86 profile image
AP86

Best of luck to u! Let us know how it goes. Try not to test early! I'm doing my first cycle. They said I can't have fresh transfer as I'm at risk of getting OHSS. So I've gotta wait a couple of months
