Hi,

Today, I learnt about double stimulation. That is getting 2 rounds of eggs in the same cycle to produce more embryos. For woman with little time left like me, it can make sense to do this and freeze as many embryos as possible fast. I am starting this.

Xx

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing. How do they do double stimulation and can it be done under mild/natural stimulated IVF do you know? I’ve been told I can’t have full IVF due to my age and AMH/AFC, but I will ask my doctor about this

Hello, We did double stimulation 2 years ago in Spain as I had very little time left... I asked my RE if I could do it more than once-he said at the time that the stimulation meds will probably me too much for my system to take... but we did 5 double stimulation rounds over a year (I have low ovarian reserve and managed only 13 mature eggs collected in total).

Hi, thanks for passing on this info. I've never heard of it!! Is it a new technique? May I ask where (which country and clinic) you are doing this? does the increased drug intake affect the embryo quality? Thanks x

Hi, I am doing this is the UK (London). Re other questions, I will be able to answer once I have done one cycle, comparing to my previous 2 cycles of mild IvF. If you message me in 5 weeks, I can share all info

Of course, no problem. Hope it goes well for you. Would you mind messaging me the name of the clinic? I'm in London too so would like to investigate further. Thanks x

Hi Lilly, I realise this is an old thread but I was wondering if you'd be happy to share with me the clinic you used to do this technique through DM? Thanks! :)
