To all you ladies that have opted for going with donnors (sperm, eggs, or embryo) in countries where they are protected by anonymity....how much info did the clinic provide?
I'm thinking in term of the donors as individuals but also has the sperm&eggs from these donors been used before (relevant to embryo adoption)? Successfully? - have they been used with other sperm/eggs ? How many times?
I know there is anonymity protection for the donors, but I'm thinking ahead in the future (if all goes well and I get a BFP) how to answer questions on potentially other embryos created by the donors...
Am I overthinking it?

I think you are overthinking just like I did, we had information on donor like hair colour age and what she was studying height and weight. We picked her out of 3 donors she was a proven donor so new her eggs had worked before.
Hi, depending on the country you opt for you may not get that info. We had donor eggs from Spain and their laws don't allow you to know anything more than deemed necessary. So by law we were told that the donor would be matched to our characteristics and beyond that once we were matched we knew their age and blood group and that's it! I understand your desire to have more answers, as I would have liked to know more myself but had to accept that i wouldn't and this was just the way it was. I'm now 26 wks pregnant. Good luck xx
Hi Crista, some clinics will give more info than others. I went to Czech Republic for donor eggs. We filled in a form with height range, weight range, hair and eye colour. Clinic picked a donor for us and then you can have the age of donor if you are successful (for 12 week screening tests). My clinic only uses donors once and don’t give out photos or any health info on them other than the standard tests conducted. It’s possibly just part of the worry of deciding whether to use a donor or not for you. It took us 2 years to decide it was right for us. Good luck!
Hey Crista, I think its hard not to over think everything about donation or that's what I found. For me, I was a little bit freaked out as I wasnt sure the donors that were available were for me....when in actual fact it was because they werent a carbon cut out of me. I came round to thinking that it doesnt really matter but that doesnt happen overnight! Im in Greece and and I think we get a fair bit of info but no pic or names obviously, its pretty basic....we got told blood type, age, nationality, height, weight, skin type, hair colour, eye colour, occupation/studies, hobbies and whether she had successfully donated once before but there is a limit as to how many times they are allowed to donate....cant remember exactly. Some clinics offer all this stuff and some dont go into so muich detail. Good luck.xx
I had egg donor from Spain . I was told their hair and eye colour, their age and skin colour. The Donor has been proven as they had used her previously. I now have a 5 month baby girl 😊 x
