I got my period and I start using ovulation sticks first thing in a morning and in a evening. Soon I had my LH surge I rang the clinic and I went for scan to see if I ovulate and if the follicle collapse . They check my lining and I was good to go with transfer. No meds very straight forward. Xx
Hey, it won’t die because it’s fertilised with sperm and then kept under special conditions. Fertilisation is key because it’s then no longer just an egg with an eggs life span. The uterus lining won’t shed right away either.
Also when a woman gets pregnant naturally and there are no fertility issues, she will ovulate, the egg will be fertilised and by around day 5 it will find its way to the uterus. A natural FET replicates this process by simply detecting when you would ovulate and by putting the embryo in the uterus 5 days later. At this point the hope is that the embryo implants. No medication is needed in the same way it isn’t needed for ‘normal’ conception. You may get a trigger shot but I didn’t. I had no medication whatsoever. x
Hello! I saw this message and was wondering whether you could help, please! I’m going to be doing a natural FET in November. How many scans and blood works did you have? I was told that my clinic will just do one scan on day 9 and when my ovulation test shows a peak, I’ve been told to call them to fix the date for FET without any further scans! Does this sound right? I’ve seen other posts where other women had scans after ovulation to confirm ovulation and the lining so I’m confused as to why my clinic won’t do more scans..
I just had a FET this week and only had one scan on day 10 - only because we found out last minute we had eggs frozen and wanted to go ahead. They might have done one more scan possibly if my first scan was day 5-7 of cycle. As it was day 10 my lining was thick enough and my follicle was almost of size so they told me when to trigger and when to come back for transfer. It seemed weird to me at first as normally you’re scanned all the time in a fresh cycle. I took my trigger a week before transfer - that triggers ovulation 36 hours later and then a 5 day transfer thereafter for a 5 day transfer. Hope this helps? Good luck ✨💖
Hi, yes it does! I had just the one scan which showed that my lining was fine and that I was ovulating. I also had my blood work taken on the same day of the scan and received the result a day or two later which confirmed what the scan had shown (peak ovulation). I didn’t take a ovulation test because my consultation appointment happened to coincidentally coincide with my ovulation date and so I was scanned on the off chance that I was ovulating given that my cycles are regular (27 days). As I was at the peak of my ovulation I was then invited to have my transfer 5 or 6 days (can’t remember now) after the day of the scan/blood work. Had I not had that appointment date, I would have been asked to use an ovulation test and call them on the day I peaked and been invited in for that one scan/blood test. Hope that helps...x
