I truly hope this post does not upset anyone. I came on here in 2015 and this forum has been an absolute life saver for me.
I have had six rounds of IVF over then last five years with six surgeries for endometriosis/womb/cervical stitch.
IVF worked every time but sadly had miscarriages every time from 8 weeks to 16 weeks to 23 weeks. We had to bury two little girls along the journey in 2017 and 2018 which was heart breaking. At times I wanted to give up and even die but some how I found the strength to carry on and fight for me dream.
Last summer I turned 40 and i said I would do this one last time. We went to north Cyprus and put three eggs back hoping and praying one would take. After our Positive pregnancy test I was bleeding heavy and thought it was all over. My husband convinced me to have a scan and we were told twins. A week later to check on the twins progress we were told three heart beats.
We had an awful pregnancy, bleeding, severe sickness and I was put on bed rest from 10 weeks. With my poor obstetric history we were not sure what would happen and unsure if I would get past 24 weeks. I didn’t post anything until later as I was too scared of loosing the babies.
At 25+5 weeks my waters went and we held of delivery until 26+4 weeks. The delivery was traumatic but the babies were rushed to nicu. It’s been another long hard journey bod blood transfusions and constant tests for the babies but they have done it and after 83 long days in nicu they are all home and healthy.
I still can’t believe they are mine. It’s hard work but I love it.
I really hope I give others hope because it was women on here that gave me hope and strength at some of my worst times. I thank you all.

Your journey sounds like the stuff of nightmares. I know what wanting to die feels like so I hear how hard this must have been. But you have been so brave to carry on and now your been blessed. In my native language roughly translated to English they greet new moms as "happy hands in water" this comes from the idea that you will be doing a lot of washing as a result of having a baby 😁😁😁.. yours is a hands in water x3 💗💗💗

I’m currently 26weeks + 4days pregnant with twin girls and live in fear every single day that something will go wrong due to previous recurrent miscarriages. So your story gives me huge hope. Thank you so much for sharing.

It’s amazing what they can do for premature babies. Try and relax and remember babies can survive from 23 weeks nowadays. Take everyday as a bonus. Good luck to you you can do this xx

Hi Missy22 , Congratulations, what a fantastic outcome from a long journey. I can relate, as we have also been on this journey since 2015 and are continuing with transfer number 8. Last March we lost a little boy at 17+6 due to my cervix opening. Thanks for taking the time to update, you’ve made it to ‘the other side.’

So amazing. Made me smile so much. Miracles do happen. My baby boy was born after 6 miscarriages out of the blue and I still can’t believe he is mine and he is now 2,5 years old! Determination and strength. You are amazing
