Lap and Dye on Monday for Endo found Hydrosalpinx. TTC 11 months. Help! Also have UTI from surgery.

Feeling confused about treatment options as consultant won't see me for 6 weeks now. He mentioned referral for IVF but only when he can state i have TTC for a year. Other tube is patent he said. Progesterone was 19 mid cycle and he advised to try Clomid as should be over 30. Other option is Prostrap prior to IVF to control endometriosis pain but i don't fancy that. Anyone had Hydrosalpinx? Had read mixed reviews as some say to remove tube prior to IVF and other say leave it. I am worried about conceiving naturally through my good tube and then the risk of miscarriage due to fluid leaking into the uterus from the blocked tube.

Hi Run4ever, I don't have endometriosis but both my tubes had been blocked since the age of 18, three laperoscopys later they finally have been removed. I had to remove them as IVF would not start treatment until they had been removed due to the risk of the fluid destroying the embryo. Is it the one tube that is blocked? I am also in the 2ww for my second attempt of IVF . Hope this helps x

Thanks so much for sharing your story. Wishing you all the best with your second try and 2ww. Yes i would assume they won't let me start until they remove it. I wish they had just taken it out on Monday as i really don't fancy more laps as that was my 4th one.
