Guarantee IVF : Hi, has anyone... - Fertility Network UK
Guarantee IVF
Hi! I've just signed up for one of these guarantee programs. It's at the same clinic we started at anyway, it should just work out a lot cheaper and also have the piece of mind of getting the money back (minus drugs etc. obviously). Access Fertility, who we went with, have been really easy to deal with and extremely responsive; however, I would say make sure you have all your ducks in a row before signing up as the program starts from the day you pay. Also, make sure you are 100% on your clinic as you are committing to the program with the clinic.
Thank you. Its all so overwhelming as Im also doing mine in Spain, just makes it that bit harder trying to coordinate everything and working out all the pros and cons x
Doing it abroad sounds very difficult logistically, although a lot of people on here do it. I think the only cons are if you get pregnant first time as then it is in an expensive way of doing it, but then you won't care because you're pregnant? Also, that and you're tied to a clinic.
Can I ask ttcemmie, what medical info/test results do they need from you for these? Think I'm too old for things like the 100% refund but if I recall correctly I could potentially do a lower percentage refund package. Just curious as to what you have to provide (or what the clinic provides for you, I guess?)
Hey Aurora! They wanted all the information from my clinic, so I don't know exactly what they sent them (I assume everything). From me, the initial questions were my age, if I have a partner, my AMH, how many rounds I'd done, how many failed rounds, miscarriages etc. It was quite a lot of info, to be honest.
I’m doing a 3 cycle refund programme with access. We get 50% of our payment back if we do not have a live birth after 3 cycles. We’re 18m in and just starting cycle 2. Our experience so far hasn’t been great but it’s nothing to do with access. We have already spent the full amount we paid if not going through access so definitely saves money if you have multiple rounds and Frosties x
I've done a 2 cycle deal with them. Not one of the 'refunds if no baby', as I was already about to start my first cycle and didn't have time to provide them all the medical info you need to give them if you're going for a refund option. So I went for the 2 cycle deal which takes like 24 hours to process! No refund obviously if it doesn't work, but 2 cycles was only a little over what the clinic quoted for one cycle so definitely seemed worth it. I was also pleased with the fact that you get unlimited frozen transfers included too... of course, I imagined I'd get a couple of frosties from both cycles 😂🤦♀️and in fact got zero frosties (my first cycle was a bit of a disaster, a write-off in some ways). Currently in my 2WW after transferring 2 embryos yesterday. Trying to think positively 🤞but if it doesn't work for me I'll take out another package with Access. Very easy and I found them very professional xxx
