So this morning I had my day 10 scan which showed a 16,14 and 12 on my right ovary and a 18,16,12 on my left ovary there are a few +s on each side also but I don’t think they will catch up before EC. My lining is measuring 6.9 which I think is ok, go back up in the morning to scan and see if the 12s have grown any before EC date is confirmed. I know it only takes 1 so not dwelling too much on numbers but I am a little disappointed as I feel the more you have the more of a chance you have if that makes sense? XX

I think for a first cycle it sounds pretty good. Its often about quality not quantity. Whilst people will always want loads of eggs that does come with risks such as OHSS and doesn't necessarily guarantee you a great outcome. One round I had 13 eggs but only 2 lasted to a day 3 transfer, another time I got 3 eggs and 2 lasted to day 3! My best round I got 9 eggs and 3 made it to day 5 transfer and I got my BFP (but lost it later). The main thing is they are mature and good quality so focus on that and not the numbers. Good luck xx
Thanks for your reply 😊 I’ll defo try stay focused on quality rather than quantity thanks for the advice. So sorry to hear about your loss wishing you luck in the future 🤞🏼 xx
Sounds fair enough to me. I’d say from all the millions of comparison posts I’ve read that it’s quality over quantity. Some people get 20 and very few are mature enough so hold onto the good thoughts 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Looking good so far 😘
I think that's a decent result Kurstx👍 I had 7 follicles on my first round and also felt pretty deflated. I'd read an ideal number is 18 or so 😟 So felt quietly despairing. But when I told my consultant that next time he reassured me it was a fine result and he was surprised I'd been so down 😂. I know exactly what you mean though - naturally we always think the more we get, the better the chance of having blastocysts to transfer and ideally freeze for another go if needed. But as others have said, seems that sometimes when people get loads of eggs the quality can be sacrificed. Try not to worry too much; plus points are, you're coping with the meds presumably, and they're obviously working, lining is ok etc 👍xx
Thanks for replying 🥰 everything you have said is a mirror of what I’m feeling and thinking it’s such a hard journey but I’m definitely going to stop worrying as you said the meds are working and things are going as they should be so I should be thankful of that. Thank you ☺️ xx
Good luck for tomorrow’s scan..fingers crossed for you!! Xx
