Why does it never go to plan?

We started our second fresh cycle at the end of December, had my down reg scan and my lining is still 13mm+ this isn’t the first time I’ve failed to down regulate but last time my lining was 7mm. I’m waiting on a plan probably including a trigger as I also have a large follicle. There is just always something! Anyone had a similar experience?

Urrggghhhh so frustrating! I only had this once and they did manage to get my lining to shed eventually, it just took a bit longer on meds. However it sounds like yours may be a little more complicated as you have a follicle. Hopefully you'll get a plan soon.xx

Thank you for replying..it seems we should always expect the unexpected in this game! I even had a pre cycle scan to make sure all looked normal before going ahead! X

So bloody annoying when we are geared up to go! All that planning sometimes just completely goes out of the window. I feel the same as you, nothing ever seems to go smoothly, not that its any consolation of course!xx

Hi Aprilmama. As you say "expect the unexpected"! Not all of us down regulate to plan, and it can take a little longer sometimes, even when going through different cycles. Hope they soon sort out what you need to do. Good luck! Diane

Thank you it turned out my E2 is still high at almost 400 so I’ve taken my trigger this afternoon and need to wait for my bleed to be scanned again 🤞
