Fluid in womb

Has anyone ever had fluid build up in their uterus? Did you get told why or have any treatment?

We caught up before about this as I had the same issue and my FET was cancelled. Have you had another scan since then?

I saw a gynaecologist and she said it could have been from a D&C but that’s not always the case. She advised me to have another period and she would scan me to see how things are looking now - I have a scan on Saturday so I’m hoping it’s gone. I don’t think other than a D&C/surgery there is a particular reason you can have fluid but I will ask her on Saturday as she was so helpful & can let you know xx

I've had it twice now so has to cancel my last fet twice now. They said they would aspirate the fluid if it happens on my next cycle before the transfer but no ones saying why it might have happened xx

Hi Dreams. It might be due to fluid draining from your Fallopian tubes. If it is, then they are right to drain it before IVF. Good luck. Diane

I've had both my tubes removed diane xx I had hydrosalpinx prior to starting my Ivf so they wouldn't continue until they had been removed xx

Frustrating isn’t it. I’ll let you know what she says - it’s so different seeing a gynaecologist in comparison to IVF consultants, it’s really useful so I’ll pick her brains ☺️ xx
