I’ve been on here for a few month and although I don’t post much, I derive a huge amount of support and information from this forum. It is endearing seeing all the genuine niceness and kindness.
I’ve got my nurses/drug appointment this Friday so suddenly it is all starting to feel real (well maybe surreal is a better word!)
Just trying to stay grounded as much as possible As aware of success rates. It’s hard trying to stay positive, hopeful yet realistic and practical at the same time!!!
Anyone else out there starting this stage this week? Any tips?
Good luck & baby dust to all for 2020.
Thanks for reading this post x

I remember my nurse/drug appointment like it was yesterday!! Take everyday as it comes. Try not to overthink the injections I was so worried about them but they were a lot easier than I thought and by the end I felt like a pro haha!!
Thank you. I am excited yet anxious at same time and the injections are daunting but just got to keep thinking of the end goal! Thanks for sharing your experience, thats very reassuring xx
What an exciting and anxious time! Lucky you that you are starting so soon. I have a hysteroscopy next week and then will start my next round of IVF as soon as they'll let me! Enjoy the hope and ride the anxiety that this time period brings. Good luck. Advice.... treat yourself in any way you need, and also I found icing (just ice in a bag out of the freezer) the injection site pre-injecting to help mentally and physically.
Awww thanks for the advice and tip for the injections, will keep that in mind. Not looking forward to the injections. I usually give blood with my eyes closed 😳
Hope your procedure goes well so you can move forwards with your journey.
Hi Bing. We have our nurse app on the 7th and start our first round injections on the 18th! Good luck in your appointment. I have heard it is not as bad as you think. Xx
