I'm a newbie and looking for support and advice from others who understand.
I'm 36 and from Liverpool, myself and my partner have been trying to conceive for around 3 years.....
We were ready to start IVF a few months back, until I was told at the last minute that my bloods showed no immunity to Rubella, which puts a blocker on starting IVF. I was really upset as I felt this should have been picked up well before, but I got on with arranging the MMR jabs x2 (first one was 10 weeks ago, followed by the booster).
I received my blood results today and all good - I am now immune to Rubella!! The hospital are calling me in the next 24 hours to book me in for the drugs appointment....I'm on day 2 of my period cycle today and was wondering does anybody know if its day 21 I would begin administering the drugs?
Any advice would be great - not really sure what to expect (even though I've read alot and watched the dvd provided by the hospital).
Thank you all xxx

Hey Hun I will let you know later on today! My day 21 will be next Friday so hoping I can start this month. I have my nurse appointment today so will keep you updated xx
I'm sorry I'm not sure. Because we have to travel 2 hours to the clinic we had our bloods, transvaginal ultrasound and semen freezing done on the same day as our consultation (so we had two appointments in one) and I was informed during the consultation part I would be short protocol. X
Ahhh I know I was the very same..cried every day at any wee thing. I think it was not knowing dates and having a plan of sorts that I found hard..once you start and you kind of nearly have and they give you dates all those feelings will still be there but less..I am more excited now than other more negative feelings but they still creep in from time to time. Xx
I think it depends on your protocol and your clinic.
I'm going to be on short protocol. I've been given the pill to take for 15 days which I take the last tomorrow. I will have a bleed between tomorrow and 6th of October and it's on this date that I go to the hospital to be shown injections and I will possibly start injection that day or day after. They said they'll do a scan to ensure my womb is ready and I've to take note of the date I bleed from and to and this will determine the injection start date.
It comes in so quickly. Can't believe I'm at this stage already! Xxx
