Well, third 5 day embryo transferred and worst results of the three attempts. My first attempt in February was a faint positive and quickly turned negative. Second transfer in April was a positive but at 6 week scan, there was nothing there. Third attempt using a different clinic, I started bleeding the day before OTD and resulted in a BFN.
Now what? I feel so useless. After 3 attempts with what they call 'top grade embryos', there must be something more going on inside me, surely. Any advice as to next steps? Xx

Sorry I haven’t really got any advice, but wanted to just send you big hugs. I understand how utterly disappointing/devastating it is to not have success despite repeated attempts. Best of luck with your next steps, I hope you have success very soon. Take care lovely xxx
I am in the same situation, just wish we could find the answers!
Only thing I have been told about is to check if I carry ‘natural killer cells’ so going to get a biopsy to test my uterine lining - if I do then to ever have success we would need extra meds alongside the normal ivf process - if I don’t then I’m no closer to an answer either. 😩 look after yourself xx
I’ve been in touch with Warwickshire uni as that seems to be where our clinic has recommended. Looks like it is £540 and takes 6 weeks for results 😳 in one way I want to crack on with another frozen transfer but then I want to do the test to check I’m not just wasting them. I think this cycle, they would ideally test right before Xmas but they are closed from 20th Dec so I may have to wait till January which is a real pain too. Need to do ovulation tests then call the clinic to see how the dates fall to see. Good luck if this is the route you take, or if you have any other recommendations please share, I’ll try anything to know more x
Sorry I don’t have any advice either, I’ve only recently started my IVF journey and haven’t made it to transfer yet but I completely understand the disappointment as well and wanting what is so easy for some.
I wish you lots of luck with whatever your next steps may be Xx
Hello lovely. I'm so very sad to read this, I'm so sorry. Unfortunately we've had a similar outcome this cycle. I started bleeding today so did a HPT and it was negative.
Thinking of you so much, wish I knew what to say to us both!
So sorry to read this. This month I had a failed IVF with top quality embryo and great lining. Started spotting 4 days before OTD and heavy bleeding started two days before OTD (when u also got a faint positive). On OTD got a negative htp on CB and a faint positive (bit stronger that previous result) on the cheap htp strips. Retested after 3 days and it was negative. Baby dust to you. X
I am so sorry. Have you had a hysteroscopy to find out if there is anything else going on inside? Might be worth considering some additional tests such as nk cells test, thyroid etc. Don't give up if you have the strength and finances. I am still on this journey and currently in my tww from my 7th transfer. Good luck whatever you decide but do speak with your clinic to investigate further xx
Thank you. Not had a hysteroscopy and the NK cells thing could be a next step. My thyroid has been checked and no issues there as yet. Thanks for your advice. All the best with your 2ww 🤞🤞🤞 xxx
Thanks. I wonder that too, as the furthest I've got on this journey was when I was having extra lubion injections on top of cyclogest. I will be interested to see what this clinic says about it xxx
Hi, so sorry! I know exactly how you feel, we just found out on Thursday we got a BFN too after a faint positive on the Monday and Tuesday but started bleeding heavy on Monday night. That was our 4th transfer and all were ‘top quality’ too. It’s so unfair isn’t it?
We recently had NK Cell testing in Warwickshire university hospital as that’s where our clinic recommended we go. I think it was about £500 and you have to go two months in a row as they test you twice. It’s exactly the same as an endometrial scratch if you have had one before? Our results were in the low range, which is still out of the normal range but nothing they can do about it. However if you have another ivf cycle within 3 months of the test it means you don’t have to have another scratch before treatment. Good luck, I’m sure one day we will get our BFP 🤞🤞 xx
Thanks for the info, that's really helpful. I will prob look into it with the clinic and see what they say. All the best, hopefully that BFP will arrive and stick around very soon xx
