Period from hell

So after finding out we had a BFN I now have the worst period ever - extreme pain and very heavy - more than I’m used with my endometriosis. Is this normal after a failed cycle?

I recently experienced this. I also have really bad periods normally but this was way worse. Really heavy and very painful for a full 8 days. I think it’s quite common due to all the extra hormones we are pumped with. I hope it eases for you soon. Take care lovely xxxx

I had a similar experience after my 1st failed cycle, spent a day on the sofa clutching a hot water bottle crying at the tv having had to cancel dinner with my friends. I had no idea it would be like that!! 2nd failure was just like a normal period and 3rd was really crampy but not terrible. Everyone and every cycle is different. I like to think the worse ones are when my little embryo implanted (but didn’t stay long) which gives me a bit of hope for the future. I hope the pain eases up soon for you, until then look after yourself xx

Hi Nessie. So sorry to hear this. Probably your endometriosis getting back to "its" normal again. Rest when you can and take regular paracetamol, unless something has been prescribed for you. Hope you soon feel human again. Diane

The clinic warned me about this as i have endo, you could try cbd oil to get you through it.

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain on top of the loss you must feel. That's really tough. My periods were really painful and heavy after my 3 failed FETs but I imagine your endo makes it even worse. I took strong pain relief...I figured since I wasn't pregnant I could go all out and at least make myself comfortable.
