Headache Hell

Hi, I've just started IVF. First cycle. I've done the first stage with Buceralin and now started two more injections to get ready for egg collection. But my headaches are so bad I don't want to do anymore cycles after this. I work full time and trying to speak to my boss and tell them I can't work because I have a really bad head is making me really stressed. Does anyone feel the same?

I had this with menopur- drink water, water and more water. The headaches will get better once you start on progesterone. Best of luck! Xxx

When do they give progesterone? I'm on Buceralin, menopur and Bemfola.

on day of egg collection or 5 days prior to FET. Hope it gets better soon xx

drink loads of water and then more water! You can always speak with your gp and ask for them to sign you off. I wish I had done this with my first, my issues were the stress and anxiety it was causing and my work client group didn’t help at all. Fingers crossed that this is the cycle for you!xxx

Yes, I had bad headaches on stims. You can take paracetamol x

I had this- water and paracetamol. Take off work if you can x

I had a crippling headache on one of my cycles. Like nothing I have ever experienced before or after. I think it lasted for about 5 days. In the end I was advised to take codeine as paracetamol did not help. Also cold packs on the forehead helped a lot. BUT it was only on the one cycle out of 6. So don't think just because you have a headache this cycle, you will get one on the next.
