Ah good luck lovely!

My first cycle I didn’t drink for a really long time before and ate super healthily (maybe 7-8 months). 2nd cycle came as a bit of a surprise as I thought there’d be a much longer wait, so I’d been drinking right up to starting meds and eating rubbish 🙈

To be honest, I don’t think either made a huge difference. I wouldn’t drink after transfer and cut down to 1 coffee a day but that’s it for me really. I got too stressed when I tried to control everything. The nurse was teasing me about all the supplements I take the other day! She said vitamin d, folic acid, eat well and that’s it.

I can’t say I don’t fall for every trick under the sun though 😂 My cupboards are loaded with pineapple and Brazil nuts. Hope everything goes well xx

Hi Kitscat! How are you? I hope you are doing well. It's great that you are moving forward to second cycle. You should really avoid alcohol after transfer. If i was you, i would have stopped drinking months ago. It's a not a good thing for your health or your baby. Try to reduce coffee as much as you can. I didn't drink any of them during my time. Although later i went for surrogacy. But because of such bad habits i was not able to become a mother naturally. So that just made me quit it forever. I hope this helps you. Stay blessed. Take care. Good luck. Bye!

Hi there! I hope you are doing well. Avoid alcohol? Are you still drinking that after the news of your infertility. I understand that can make the pain go away for sometime, but the after effects of it are not good. It can also be the factor behind your failed cycle. Alcohol is not at all a good thing for a women who's ttc. I left drinking Alcohol the second i found out about my infertility. It kills your fertility and also ruins the chances of you getting pregnant with other treatments. So yes just stop drinking that. Also, reduce the amount of coffee to minimum. I hope you understand. Take care. Stay blessed. Good luck. Bye!

Hi there. Thanks for all your replies. We have had a BFP a few days ago so are over the moon! Yes avoided alcohol and cut out caffeine. My husband did the same ☺️. Early days but enjoying it all at the moment xx

Hi there! How are you now? I am happy for you. But the question you asked is not a good one. If you are opting for IVF next week and still drinking alcohol then you are playing with your chances. Not just chances even if you get a BFP, it will be harmful to the baby. You need to quit drinking if you want to become a mother. Stop thinking that it will help avoid your pain, it will just numb it for some time and leave permanent damage on your body. I hope you understand. I will pray that it gets easier for you. My blessings are with you. Best of luck. Take good care of yourself. Goodbye!
