Hi all, i had a scan done on Saturday to see that there was no remaining products, when i was having my scan i explained that i missed carried 4 to 5 weeks ago. To cut the story short she said she could see this abnormal mass next to my left ovary she said it could be a fibroid but need a gyangoloigst opinion. I came out the scan thinking no this can't be right and called my private clinical and asked for a clinical review. I went today and the scan showed suspected ectopic pregnancies or blood collection in left tube. I was so shocked, they said they will call me tomorrow depending on the hcg result. I have a holiday planned this saturday which may be cancelled. I am so mad that this was not picked up on saturday and equally mad at my private clinic as the after care has been crap! No calls, i have had to call them twice to say the bleeding will not stop and all they kept saying its common. This really has made me thinking should i carry on with ivf or give up as no one cares. Has anyone been in the same situation. Thank you

ectopic pregnancy or blood collection?
You have to do what’s right for you in the end be it carry on, change clinic or stop altogether. I agree no one seems to really care, it’s a conveyor belt system whereby the staff think that people’s lives do not continue and revolve around treatment or that you have time to sit around hospital. My clinic was saying I may have an ectopic pregnancy after a failed FET. I had one blood test with them and said I wasn’t coming back and what else can I do, I was told either go to my GP or to an Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) at my local hospital. I booked into my EPU they were great more bloods, another scan and told me there and then everything was normal
I am really sorry you are going through this. I haven't had the same but I have had similar hopeless support from the EPU several times where I have had to FIGHT for help and its taken me MONTHS to get answers. I can only assume they are just so sick of unwanted teenage pregnancies they have lost all concept of empathy and thoroughness when it comes to people who are old enough and obsessed enough with infertility to know something is wrong.
Re your IVF clinic, I found with my last MMC after IVF they just handed me over as they don't deal with the failure they just deal with the trying to get pregnant - and that's where the line stops. I guess they have to limit how much they get involved - so I got handed over to EPU as soon as no heartbeat was found and was just told to contact them when/if I wanted to start again. They were sympathetic but that was where their role stopped - so I don't think you are alone with that
Huge hugs what an absolute nightmare for you xx
Hi Daisy thank you so much, its nice to know the clinics are all the same. They called me back today and said my hcg is 390 and slowly rising, they took a other test waiting for the result but i am thinking of going a+e later today. All we can do is wait now. Again thank you xxxx
