Embryo adoption in the UK

Has anyone had any experience of embryo adoption? I know that it’s gaining popularity in the US and have heard of people going abroad (mostly Spain) for treatment but does anyone have any information about treatment in the UK?

My partner and I are currently progressing through our first round of IVF and although I have no reason to think it won’t work, I’ve always been curious about embryo adoption and really think it would be a viable option for us should our treatment fail.

I’ve found lots of sources online talking about donating embryos to other couples within in the UK, but nothing really from the perspective of someone wanting to adopt - costs, process of treatment, which clinics offer it etc.

Any info would be great!
