Hi I am having my transfer Tuesday and just wondered if anyone knows if it’s ok to swim today & tomorrow? Hope all ok xx

Not sure about before transfer but I was definitely told not to after. Sorry it’s not much help. Maybe call the clinic just to be sure?

Hi. All clinics differ. Mine said no swimming as you want to reduce the chance of infection. I would check with your clinic. Good luck xx

My clinic said no after transfer but didn’t specify it before. If you’re having a fresh transfer I’d personally avoid it as you’ll still be healing from the egg collection x

I went swimming every day in the week prior to transfer (our clinic was in Cyprus so we were on holiday). Our clinic's advice for after transfer was not to swim in pools or freshwater (ponds, lakes, rivers) during the 2ww (sea I was told is fine due to salt content and constant circulation of the water preventing infection). Once we had our BFP, I gave it another few weeks to give the cervix time to be fully sealed to prevent infection before swimming again.

Sorry I forgot to mention mine was an FET, and if you've had a fresh cycle I would definitely check about swimming between egg collection and transfer too - as you may also be vulnerable to infection at this time xx

We're now at 15weeks + 2! Sometimes I can still hardly believe it's real after so long without success... Wishing you all the luck in the world for your transfer Tuesday, and may the 2ww pass easily for you xx

Hi Coral86, I have fresh transfer booked for Tuesday too, I’ve been swimming in the sea over the weekend but avoiding baths due to possible infection risk - though no one said anything to me about avoiding swimming or bathing so might be OK. Best wishes with everything. X

Yes, still on for Tuesday, looks like there are four doing well, so hopefully two ready for transfer but will see what Tuesday brings! Hope all goes well for you. X

Ahh amazing same as me lol 4 at grade 8 what grade are yours ? So nerve racking now isn’t it xxx

They just said they are top grade when they updated me this am, and the two others are a little fragmented. I guess we’ll find out what grade on Tuesday but just relieved to get this far! So many good wishes for you for Tuesday, will be thinking of you! X
