BPA (reading it starts with the egg)

Hi all,

So giving that I have one more shot at this I really wanna give it the best chance I can. I’m on a no sugar, low carb, high protein diet and just started the book it starts with the egg.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen a difference when going BPA free. I’m definitely going to try it along with eating folate foods. But just want to see if we have anyone that’s given the advice of the book a go and had benefited from doing so?

Thanks

Sarah

Hi Sarah, I have read the same thing. My personal opinion is it's much more beneficial for your body and adrenal system to ditch all cosmetics. I have literally packed everything in a bin bag. No perfumes, no make up etc

Most plastic is BPA free already anyway, the real benefit comes with avoiding unnecessary chemicals we put into our bodies via skin.

My thyroid is thankful every day😀

And I save so much money!

Xxx

I read that BPA free products are replaced with a sister like chemical and they arent sure if that is just as bad. I have read abouy chemicals, event in household cleaning products. It's so hard to cut eveything out. I dont think I can go makeup free (totally) but I will start buying natural products in everyday use. I need a replacement list lol. How long have you been doing this for? x

I have been 'cosmetics and perfumes' free for almost a year now. The problem with some natural cosmetics is they still contain fragrance/perfum but they don't state what chemical goes in it. Avoid anything with perfume. Good luck xx

Hello. 3 months before our first cycle (I’m now 19+5) I cut out all chemicals in all cosmetics. Completely cut out refined sugar and went as organic as possible. I have no other cycles to compare it to but I felt so much better for it and it was obviously a very successful cycle! Best of luck 🤞🏻xx

Thank you for your advice. Can I ask what you did for like a treat? ive been going cold turkey on any sweet treats because of the refined sugar but wondered if there is anything i can make at home? Sorry to bother you. :) x

Thank you! Really helpful. I was wondering what products to switch too. Im going to get some more victims tomorrow and not using plastic anymore. I’m also cutting out refined sugars although I’m allowing a pudding every two weeks or I’ll think I’ll lose my mind...

congratulations on your pregnancy! Amazing news!

I love the book! Did you cut out all makeup too? Xx

No I didnt cut out makeup completely but when I could I would do a foundation free day but would wear mascara and a bit of eyebrow pencil depends how far u want to take it, I think u still need to feel like yourself throughout this process as much as u can or u will lose your mind . Good luck with everything really. Holland and barratt is good for natural makeup by the way and I also bought the shampoo etc from there xxx

Hey. I guess it’s a personal decision how in depth you follow her advice but don’t feel under pressure to conform or need to change your whole life. We would do anything for babies but most successful ivf cycles are stress free and relatively normal non dramatically changes lifestyles.

I read the same book and discussed with my fertility specialist (one of the top lead consultants in England) and he dismissed this totally. He correctly stated that no one would ever get pregnant with or without fertility treatments when I quoted some of her advice eg reduce till receipt handling/perfume and make up free items.

It’s super hard because if it did work and did improve chances-ivf and all it’s chemicals and drugs wouldn’t be as successful and like he said, experts recommend everything that is proven to help and this is dismissed. Each to their own I suppose.

I took Dhea as per specialist and a whole ship load of supplements helped me(I researched from books such as starts with an egg) a hell of a lot with a successful second cycle from no blastos to 4 top grades and I didn’t change my diet; alcohol intake nor bpa avoidance !

Ivf is hard enough without all this and I would take his advice that medical proof is above all this, don’t stress yourself out too much lovely. Nothing can hurt your chances and try everything but be kind to yourself and enjoy life too! Good luck Hun Xxxxx
