My partner and I are considering trying for a baby, i feel i want children so bad that i am willing to try anything to speed up the process. After researching online i have come across various things women can take in order to get pregnant or at least quicker such as for example, Clomid, preseed, folic acid etc, Although i am worried as i don't know if i even need to take such supplements as i could get pregnant naturally without these things. Just not sure what to think or how to tackle this issue, have spoken to my partner who suggests trying to get pregnant naturally but i just really want it to happen now right now. Please feel free to respond any advice would really help. xxx Jadey xxx

It's good that you guys decided to try for a baby... it's a blessing. Don't be worried everything will be alright and hopefully you'll be conceiving soon. Even if you can totally get pregnant all naturally it doesn't harm trying on some extra help to speed up the process. Yes, Clomid or other stimulant is a good choice to begin with in your endevour of getting pregnant soon. However, if you're any younger than 35 yrs old there's a sufficient chance that the ovarian stimulation could also make you release more than 1 egg at a time. You know what comes next lol... twins! There's also a safer alternative by making changes in lifestyle for a more healthier one and supplements. Multivitamins are good for the both of you. Besides you can also take folic acid, cod liver oil, probiotics and more lentinls in your diet. Wish you all the luck to get pregnant soon.
Hi Jadey,
Have you actually started trying yet or still considering? Unless you have a known problem, you should try naturally for up to 2 years depending on your age before even considering fertility treatments like clomid. They’re not fun, won’t increase your chances chances of getting pregnant unless you’re not ovulating, and can have serious side effects. I still have vision problems from taking clomid years ago and that was under close supervision by my clinic!
You should definitely take folic acid and a good multivitamin (have a look in Boots - there’ll be a few specifically for people ttc). You could also try ovulation testing and timed sex.
Good luck!
