Hi this is my first time posting in here and really looking for some positivity. It’s been such a rollercoaster already on this IVF journey. It’s our first time with IVF. My fresh ET was cancelled due to thin lining (only 5.1mm) so we had our embryos frozen. When it came to the frozen cycle on my day 12 scan I was still only 4.8mm with using progynova 3 times a day. We decided we were going to just give it a go as we had 5 embryos, I asked my consultant if I could double the dosage which he agreed and I also asked if I could do a few vaginally as well which he said I could. On the day of the transfer (yesterday) we opted in for a trial to have an ultrasound assisted transfer and I’m so glad we did as my womb is so tilted that every time they put the catheter in it just could get past my cervix as it had a bend in it. After about 10 attempts and a lot of clamping my cervix (so painful) he was ready to give up and re-freeze the embryo. By some miracle the head consultant came and somehow with a big cough and more clamping they they straightened out my cervix and the transfer went ahead.
Now I’m a bit worried that my cervix has suffered so much trauma that they said sometime when it contracts back it can affect the embryo implanting.
Has anyone else had this problem and still managed a bfp- on the plus side my lining managed to reach 8.1mm
Sorry for the long message

Hello! I just wanted to reach out, although I do not have a tilted uterus my cervix was very narrow in my second transfer and it also took a good very painful 10 minutes for transfer. I have never felt such awful pain and was certain that there was no way it could lead to a BFP. I was so upset and worried, all of which was in vein. Here I am 31weeks pregnant with my baby boy, and have had no problems since. Have hope!
Thank you for that, I was In there 2 hours but so glad they managed to do it in the end but worried that they had to clamp my cervix like 5 or 6 times. Hopefully it won’t affect my chances. Congrats on your baby boy and hope the next 9 weeks go quick for you x
I had a tricky transfer too and had really bad cramps the whole day after. I’ve been really worried that this means it hasn’t worked but now trying to resign myself to that fact that you just don’t know.
Test day next Friday, I suppose there are so many variables there’s really no point worrying. Easier said than done! finger lakes crossed for us both xxx
I have the exact same thing and my transfers take around an hour. It’s so uncomfortable but I’ve had BFP which ended in a MC but putting that aside it did result in a BFP even after the troubles. Xxx
