So just been for egg transfer- and despite having very swollen ovaries still, and a cervix that didn’t want to play ball, we managed to pop in our amazing grade A embryo in, and 5 have been popped into the freezer! Embryologists words they were “looking bloody good”!
Feel all over the place emotionally- excited, anxious, frustrated! I can’t believe we are finally here.
Wow....!

Im feeling ok apart from headache, swelling has all gone down which worries me as i was told if pregnant it will only get worse. Ive been rly tearful past few days! How u feeling now? Xx
Fragile but better. Swelling went down a little. When scanning me today they said ovaries still huge, to the point of distorting the cervix, hence issues getting in! No fluid build up though so doctor is hopeful it’s all calming down, although warned me it could get worse again. Just got to wait and see and take each day as it comes.
Don’t worry too much - I’m sure it’s not every time, just an increased chance of it worsening. Fingers crossed for you xx
Ouch! Sounds painful!! Drink plenty of water keep flushing any fluid out thats what i was told and make sure ur urinating enough! Im sure ul know urself if swelling is coming back and to call clinic. Xx
I’m completky understand what you are saying and I’m being very realistic and logical about the chances of success but appreciate the cautioning words.
I think the excitement for me is as I’m in a gay relationship, this is the start of my wife and I trying for a baby. That’s the excitement, we know we are at the beginning of our journey but this moment is something we have dreamed of for a very long time. It may not work. And the embryo may not implant. But you know what - the fact that we even have this opportunity to try is incredible.
Thanks for your advice, but rest assured, we are being realistic with our excitement
Well done Linds - this is really positive and wishing you and your wife all the best! As Lyeo says, don't listen to anyone other than your Dr 😉. No doubt the happiness you're feeling will help things along. Xx
