Sorry lovely I don’t know no one can no for sure When I miscarried at your term there was a lot more bleeding. Wanted to wish you luck that all is good x
Thanks Snuggles for the comfort. When you miscarried was it continuous bleeding for 5 days or on off & did you get any clots come through too. As day before was heavy had few clots & then normal for a day n then stringy bit of clot again today.
I had an implantation bleed at approx 10dpo. It was enough to go through my pjs then stopped as suddenly as it started. I would call your clinic to see if they can repeat your bloods or something to reassure you. If not maybe try your gp?
I won’t say ‘don’t worry’ because it’s impossible.
When you say had bleeding was it like a heavy period any clot come through too? I did text my nurse in uk & she said to continue meds until you get back to you UK & they check. Hopefully is just normal bleeding occurring during pregnancy the nurse said. Fly back 3rd sept and dreading it x
Call your clinic or maybe your gp just to be on the safe side but believe it or not, spotting is quite common in early pregnancy so (easier said than done) try not to panic too much xx
Hi Tugs, just so hard to know what is spotting, what size is normal spotting & what isn’t just been googling like crazy & checking images of types of spotting. X
Just started again few hours ago got bleeding on pad, whereas in the day was all clear . Don’t understand what’s happening. Feels like just on the edge one day am ok when bleeding disappears n then again appears & worry again x
I had bleeding on day 14 after FET and after a positive test result. I think it’s what they call ‘breakthrough bleeding’ which happens at the time that your period would have been due.
It lasted 3 days. The day before my period was due, the day of my period and the following day. In general the bleeding was extremely light and only really detectable when I wiped or saw small traces on my underwear. I did see stringy blood. I also had slight cramping as I usually would at the time of my period and the bleeding coincided with this. It worried me because it felt as though my period was impending and when I checked for blood, low and behold there it was. However it was faint and did not progress to full bleeding. On the third day there was barely any bleeding at all. I only recall an insignificant trace when I wiped once. It wasn’t implantation bleeding as I had already taken a number of pregnancy tests which were all positive so my egg had already implanted days ago. I think people have breakthrough bleeding to varying degrees. Some bleed heavier and some bleed lighter than others. I read the following and concluded it was likely breakthrough bleeding.
‘You may notice some light bleeding or spotting around now (4 weeks pregnant) or the time that you usually have your period. This is called breakthrough bleeding. This happens when the hormones that are responsible for your menstrual cycle trigger bleeding. It can happen more than once throughout your pregnancy, but is usually nothing to worry about.’
Hope things turn out ok for you. I kept taking pregnancy tests during this time to make sure I was still getting positive results and it always came up positive which was reassuring. Sorry you’re going through this and I hope all is well with baby. Don’t lose hope, just get it checked out for your peace of mind...x
Hey, I hope you feel better now and that's all sorted for the best. just fyi, I had blood and clots some days ago (at the end of week 6) and thought it was a chemical but then a scan confirmed pregnancy with the sac and the heartbeat. my doc said that bleeding is quite common in ivf pregnancies. I wish it's all good for you now xx
hi, any chance you can get a scan at a hospital where you are?I started with some brown spotting on a monday, then disappeared. In Friday evening I felt blood coming out as if it was liquid period. It was very red and liquid. Didn’t fill a full tampon but whenever I was sitting down on the bathroom I would have more blood coming out. The i had a clot as big as a cookie like oreo size (sorry TMI). I really thought that was my little embryo leaving. I had some cramping but not too strong. I lost other blood during the night and another little clot the morning after but then it started to ease off and turned to light brown spotting on Sunday. On Sat a doc of my clinic (not the one following me) visited me and confirmed pregnancy with a scan. He gave me an additional shot of progesterone and prescribed me valium for all the weekend+ rest and relax and to continue my meds. I saw my doc yesterday (monday) and she said I could expect to bleed more and that it’s quite common for ivf pregnancies although doctors aren’t still 100% sure why it happens. I am still confused and frightened myself but the embryo is there with sac and heartbeat so I really have to try keeping my anxiety under control.
Have you noticed any symptoms before and after the bleeding? What colour is your bleeding? Any crampings?
I can’t imagine how worry you must be, I think it may be worth going to an hospital or to a private ob/gyn so at least you know what’s is going on.
Wishing you all the best, keep us posted and dm me if you need anything xx
Hi Fareena make sure you get a scan to get it checked out. I had a hematoma at 6 weeks which is common and you get brown discharge with it. I thought it was all over, but it wasnt. Hope all is ok get the scan as it will give you thepiece of mind you deserve.
Hi when you say brown discharge was it only brown not red or clots.
As I have since last Sunday had strange spotting then clotting & bleeding on Tuesday then disappeared & today in evening again pad blood.. it’s a nightmare don’t know which way it is going. As get home when had support from this forum where people have mentioned they have had clots & bleeding early pregnancy & not had miscarriage.
Think mine is over as have had heavy bleeding on 2 occasions this week. Still have 1% hope, I have a 7 week scan when return to Uk next week.. just hoping for the best, but preparing myself for the worst too😢x
It's so frightening isn't it. Are you on progesterone? You might need to have your levels checked and your dosage altered? Keep us posted after next week's scan
