Low Egg Count?

I have severe endometriosis and have suffered for many years. I have had an IUD for over 6 years and my first test on day 3 has shown a low egg reserve. The first thing the doctor said is looks like you may need a donor. I am 31 years old, healthy, just do not have tubes. My ovaries have always been healthy per my oncologist - Did anyone ever have a low egg reserve on the first day 3 testing and go on to get pregnant or for the information to be false?

Hello, I have a low ovarian reserve. Even the drugs (the highest dose didn’t help me in stimulating ovaries). Just end up with one follicle of 20mm and the consultant decided to cancel IVF and did IUI instead.

I know the chances of success are very low. And I have lost hopes.

Hi, sorry I don’t have good news using my own eggs but I was told at age 33 I would not be able to use my own eggs. Was a massive shock as they said I was menopausal. The Clomid and other stimulation drugs we tried out of desperation didn’t work for me either so we never got as far as getting any eggs at all. Nearly 8 years later and I am now pregnant with a donor egg baby. It’s been a very long physically and emotionally tough journey for us but we are finally where we feel we should have been in my early 30s. You clinic will speak frankly to you about what is best for you in your situation but you can always seek a second opinion privately if you want given the test results you get. Good luck 🤞

On my first ever scan before trying ivf I had just one follicle and was told I had poor ovarian reserve. I was 39 but still a shock to only have one. I begged them to give me a chance with ivf just to see how I respond and in the meantime took dhea, coenzyme 10, royal jelly and omega 3. 2 months later I dreaded the baseline scan... but it actually showed 11 follicles. I went on to have a ivf round in highest stims and had 12 eggs collected, 8 mature, 6 fertilised and 4 made it to top quality blasts..... my consultant was amazed but said it can change from month to month. We had to have a freeze all due to lining issues but just wanted to give you hope. Keep strong, think positive and try to be as healthy as you can xxx
