So just had s call from the clinic to say that 6 of the 8 are still multiplying evenly with one in the lead at a 3.4 grade (highest is 4.4) the other 5 are all 2.1,2.2 &2.3. They said we can make the decision on either going in today (day 3) or waiting till sat (day 5)
We have decided to go with day 5 and I’m so worried. Could end up with nothing. Although they did say that they recommend day 5.
Anyone been here??
Fingers crossed they make it! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi Sarah, sounds like they are doing well! I had a day 3 frozen and a few from day 5/6. I’m doing a frozen transfer this year, when I asked which they would use they said they would try to get the day 3 to day 5 (didn’t even know they could do that)! so I’d say that you’ve made the right decision. If they were concerned the others wouldn’t make it to day 5 they would be advising you to go day 3 as I’m sure they can tell.
Good ☺️ yes so hard and I really don’t understand the grading but they said they wouldn’t freeze any that were no good.
I’m doing my transfer in November hopefully! I have a trip away in May 2020 so didn’t want to be too heavily pregnant should the transfer work first time & also as I’m doing this alone I’ll need support from my sisters so trying to get my timing right!
Hi, I'm not really sure about the grades but I remember with mine I had 9 fertilise and by day 3 only 2 showed they were progressing as they should. My clinic advised me to have a day 3 double transfer as they didnt think any would make it to day 5. However by day 5 I ended up with 2 blastocysts and another on day 6, all of which they froze. Sounds like yours are doing better than mine were so fingers crossed they continue to progress into lovely little blastos! Wishing you lots of luck! 🤞🌈🤗🤞x
I haven't been in such a situation but I think would probably choose the same. 3.4 is not 4.4 though the difference is very small. I think that you did the right thing by choosing 5d. I had 5de and even hadn't been suggested to use 3d.
