So after my first failed round and then a round of zero fertilisation I finally got my first ever BFP about 4 weeks ago. We had our first scan today and were nervously excited... We found out that both embryos implanted - one is developing perfectly but the other has a slow heart beat and a large yolk sack. We have been told that, although they can never say never, it is very unlikely that the 2nd twin will continue to develop. I have another scan in 2 weeks. I know the reality is that it won't develop but wondered if any one has any stories of encouragement? We are of course over the moon the other embryo is developing well it's just bitter sweet.

Hi hun, mamy congratulations but I understand that you worry about the second one. If you are only 4 weeks it's amazing that they could see the heartbeats at all. I always thought they can see them at week 6 at the earliest. Try not to worry as this is so early they both can be absolutely fine. Like I said at 4 weeks they can't see much.
Enjoy every day of your pregnancy, the little ones deserve that 😘🥰
