Four little embabies on board. All perfect 8 cells on day three.
Saw the NHS odds for IVf success at 43... 3.8% so praying these four can help my odds and deliver a healthy baby.
Not really sunk in yet but I can’t share with many people due to sick parents and husband’s ex wife and step kids. But I can share with you ❤️🙏👼
Can’t believe it actually happened. OTD 12th August. Day I go back to school. Any tips for how to handle crushing headaches from progesterone and estrogen?
Any other 43+ success stories?
Much love xox

You might be better with a first response early results test if you’re testing so early. A clear blue might not be sensitive enough to pick up your HCG x
Hey, I’m away at the moment and when I’m back I’m going to get my thyroid levels checked as they were a bit high - apparently stress contributes to this so I’m hoping work settles down for me a bit! I have 5 blastocysts & 1 day 3 embryo. The embryologist said they would try to get the day 3 to blastocyst stage & hopefully use that one. I’m planning on FET in November all being well 😊 xxx
Aw man. I had a crippling headache yesterday and explosive diarrhoea so bad I was panicking in the egg transfer room with legs akimbo!? 😱 🤡 but feel fab today thank god. Xox
Aw lovely. Thank you. Nothing today. Think I was maybe just super nervous yesterday and as transfer kept getting delayed from 1230 to 1 to 130 to 2 to 230 it built up and built up. And the upset tummy. I've got waters in the fridge now xx
Thanks babe and so much luck to you and yours! Did you move around much the day after? I have cabin fever! My docs said act as normal. My acupuncture lady said bedrest... how are you treating this stage? Xx
My doctors said to act as normal.. And my acupuncturist agreed. I did some research online and from what I could tell the science suggests moving around is better than bedrest as movement helps blood flow to the uterus.
I went back to work the day after and have carrried on mostly as normal but just being a bit more cautious. No heavy lifting, overstretching, no hoovering, no hot baths, no swimming pools, balanced diet and trying not to get stressed out lol. Xo
Perfect. i couldn’t handle being cooped up any longer and am in sweet Greek garden cafe in the shade residing City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s fab xx
Thanks so much Orla. My God I’ve just been reading through your pages. You’ve been to Hell and back so many times. Sending so much love. Hope you had a magic time in Corfu and become a mum super soon! Damn you have tenacity! Xox
It has been quite a journey! I’ve really suffered the last couple of weeks with work stress mixed with the anticipation of the next transfer. Just need something to finally work! I’m hoping to transfer our first donor egg embryo towards the end of September... I just hope the change of egg works! Good luck with your 2ww. Xxx
You’re so kind Daisy. Especially with everything you’re going through. You have a heart of gold. I’m 43 so will be onto donor if this doesn’t work. Sending lots of love xx
Sure. I'm in Greece now but based in HK so will get bloods done on the day as if I AM - I'll want to know numbers - I have to know everything. Makes me feel more in control with figures! Not that any of us are in any control at all with any of this. Maddening! x
Same to you lovely lady. You'll be in my shoes soon enough. I loved the Rudimental track you shared the other week - I've been playing it when ever the dementors attack! xox
I'm in Greece where I had treatment so chilling here til we fly home to HK on Sunday. Then I have a week before the school term starts to make sure I've caught up on reading all new texts and created some schemes of work for lessons and then school starts on Aug 12th which is my OTD so... I'll be busy! xx
Good luck although I don’t think you need it as I honestly think 4 is giving you the best ever chance. 😀🤞🏼
I had a double transfer last year aged 42 and got my BFP. Unfortunately ended in MC but was a rare problem with sac not growing, nothing to do with embryos. My DR said same chance at 43 as 42 so I’ve recently just done another double transfer, aged 43 now . On day of my transfer I was told the second embryo will increase my chances of implantation by 5% so imagine if having an extra 3 this means your chances will be increased by 15% !?! Wishing you a stressfree 2ww,just believe and it will happen 😘 x
Wow. Mine's just two weeks after egg collection. Will you cheat and do early? Or are you against that? As it's my first time I have no idea what I'll do x
Ah it’s fine. I trust my clinic completely and they’ve shown me all research. Even with 4 embryos the eldest lady whose ended up with twins has been 41. As I’m using my own eggs at 43 and partner has wonky sperm so having one will be a miracle. I was a bit shocked when clinic first told me but understand why now. Epic congratulations on your baby! And magic HCG levels too. Enjoy xoxo
Thanks so much Hannah and wishing you a beautiful pregnancy. You’ve been through so much! Sending love and calm and snuggly cozy baby vibes xox
Wow this is brilliant, wishing u masses of luck and I am keeping everything crossed for u, I am 43 in September so u go girl and show us how it’s done 👏🏻💪 xx
Thanks lovely Coral. Please don’t worry about turning 43. I did and rushed a terrible cycle over Xmas. I was panicking and all that stress led to an awful job and some bad choices in the clinic I went for. 42 or 43. Same same. Take your time. Find any way you can to relax. I had money issues too. Huge loan for first cycle and another smaller one for this second one. If this one doesn’t work I’ll have to wait til next summer when I’ll be 44 (still won’t have finished paying either loan off) I am so sorry to hear about your chemical. You must be heartbroken. Sending love and luck for the next one. Xox
Aah thanks, hard not to feel like rushing when you are older mainly because all you hear is ur eggs are 42!! Years old which is a scary though 😳😌 we normally wait 3 months before each cycle so my body can recover and me mentally!! Also the drugs on the fresh cycles are max dosage so I really feel the affects emotionally as opposed to medically. Don’t think about next cycle as with 4 on board I have a really good feeling you may not need to. Chemical was hard as first time in my life I got a BFP but not to be. Will b glued to your posts hoping for some great news. Xx
Thanks so much Alexa. Good luck with your round. I saw you asked about L Carnitine. I took ALL the supplements last time and had no transfer at all. Eggs were a disaster and I paid 500 pounds for all supplements imaginable. This time I take folate and vit e and a pregnancy multi vitamin and eggs looked so much better. It’s so hard as we want to do everything we can for success but I think whatever makes you calm and relaxed and healthy is the best. I stopped drinking, went for daily walks, ate lots of green veg and clean protein and of course chocolate and ice cream treats. I also love acupuncture and reflexology. Good luck honey xxx
Thanks so much for replying to me! I’m very anxious about this cycle because I’ve done things differently and been told I have probably made a couple wrong choices in supplements. Thanks for your advice. I am going through the motions of this cycle but feeling doomed. I’m trying to prepare for how I’ll do things next time to keep me in positive spirits. I appreciate your feedback xx
The more research I read and personal stories I hear. The more I think it’s a sort of magic. There is no right or wrong. Do you have a good chemistry with your clinic? That is vital. If they stress you out it can be very hard. My first two clinics were awful. For me. I’m sure great for others. But now I have found the right one and it makes everything feel safer as I trust them. Take care xo
Thank you, that’s good advice. I’m comfortable with my clinic for the most part. I might reevaluate after this cycle. I’m glad you’ve found the right clinic for you, sounds like it’s making all the difference in the world. Hope all still going well!! X
