Hey, can anyone give me an indication of costs for private FET meds please? Our consultant said today that progesterone injections ‘are not cheap’ which is a worry!! I don’t need stims cost but just need med costs for FET transfer (in particular with progesterone injections). Thanks lovelies xx
Cost of FET meds : Hey, can anyone give... - Fertility Network UK
Cost of FET meds
Hi Hifer. I had lubion injections and Utrogestan for my progesterone support. The lubion was £8 a vial (x1 daily) and the Utrogestan was £1 a pessarie (x3 daily). I didn’t down reg for my FET but I did trigger and that injection was around £40 xx
Hello, make sure you shop around as you don’t have to get them from your clinic. I got mine from asda as they do not make a profit on fertility drugs x
Hello Hifer,
Our clinic gave an estimated £900 for FET medication. We ended up paying a total of £819 as we have a few left over from my last two cycles.
Thank you. Did you have progesterone injections? X
Yes - Lentogest to be injected on the thigh or buttocks 3 days a week. I start them today and already I’ve read that they are extremely painful.
Hi, I.got a bit of a fright when I paid for only 12 days worth of 25mg (one shot per day) Lubion injections. £166! Through Stork. They deliver the meds. I can't bear to think about how much Lubion would cost if I needed it for the first 12 weeks... Another £1079 on top and that's not including the cyclogest which is also mega expensive!
I’m in the US, but paying out of pocket for everything. It’s $120 for a month’s supply (three 10 mL vials and needles/syringes/alcohol wipes/etc) of Progesterone in oil and $10 for 30 days (90 pills) of Estrace. One month of the IVF meds was about $3000, so this is a relief!
Hi, we paid £300ish for lubion jabs -enough for 5 days before transfer and the 2ww (I was on 2 a day) I think the pessaries and progynova or equivalent are much cheaper but not sure on the exact prices xx
Hi, have you considered a natural FET? I had that and now 25 weeks pregnant. No meds needed at all. They just took blood samples 4 times to find the surge. I know it's not for everyone, but if there's no particular need it's much cheaper that way. They might not suggest it to you unless you ask. Best of luck to you!
Does it need to be progesterone injections? I’m going for 2 pessaries a day and they are much cheaper, £220 for the Prostap, Progynova and all the Pessaries...but I know some people need the injections x
Mine was about 400, but I was on absolutely everything (HCG shots etc.). Wishing you lots of luck xx
