Hi everyone,

Back on buserelin for my FET, my first round the neddles going in seemed ok but this time it’s like my skin has hardened and a real struggle.

I also bleed now every-time.

Wonder what’s changed? Xx

Hey Sunshine,

I have had a few cycles and it varies so much. I now just whack the needle in - not gingerly - just push it through and if and when it bleeds then that's ok. Sometimes bruising - sometimes not. I was quite anaemic when I bled from injections and once I got my iron levels sorted the bleeding stopped. So long as drugs going in it's all the same.

Good luck with your downregging

Thank you so much. It’s really strange isn’t it. Will keep going through 🙏🏻 Xx

Hi Sunshineraye

I had that too. I just gently jab until I find a spot where the needle goes in more easily. I have forced it in where there's resistance which hurt and bled nothing too dramatic but not exactly pleasant. I seemed to get bruises whatever. Good luck with it all. X

It’s strange isn’t it. Never had any problem the first time and now I’m like you jabbing until i find somewhere where it easily goes in. Thank you and good luck to you too xx

I experienced something similar. When I got to my second cycle I definitely noticed that getting the needle into my skin was more of a struggle. It was like the band of skin I had been using for injecting became tough like leather lol. I just kept trying to search for a spot that was a lot easier where it would just glide in but sometimes I left myself with many needle pricks. Try applying pressure to the spot once your removed the needle see whether it helps a little with the bleeding and bruising xx

Thank you for replying. It’s so strange isn’t it and I can definitely relate that it feels likes leather 🤷‍♀️ I can also relate to pin pricks trying 😩 xx

I had the same with my Bemfola in my 3rd cycle (was back to back with second failed cycle, so no time for body to repair). Somebody here suggested cooling it down with an ice cube before and this worked a treat! Less pain, no bleeding.

Hi I’ve been through a few cycles and yes I had difficulty injecting almost most of the cycles,.... to reduce the the pain on injection ( since it was such a struggle) I applied Emla cream 5% to a small area and injected once the the topical anesthesia took effect. Maybe you could try some topical anesthetic cream.
