My partner was working away and it was fine. Aslong as the embryo transfer consent was signed and the one to say you’ve not travelled any countries which may have the Zika virus. Phone up to be sure as you don’t want to turn up on the day and something silly has still to be done. I’m sure you’ll be fine though as when I phoned that’s all that had to be signed xxx

We had to sign a consent form to thaw the embryo and have the transfer then another Zika virus form. We done it last year originally with the embryos but to use a frozen one this time round we had more consent forms xxx

My husband works away too. At my clinic we both have to sign a form every transfer at the same time we pick up the prescription. Our clinic have been ace letting us have this appointment earlier so we can get the forms signed and I can just ring up with my cycle without the stress of rotting it in with his work rotation as well. Call the clinic and ask if they can do this.

Wanna also say kudos to you. It’s extra tough having your partner away and being on this journey. It can feel even lonelier. I doing our current frozen cycle completely on my own coz we didn’t want to wait even longer. He’ll be back the 2nd week of the tww (he might regret that)!

Hi,

I've had 2 frozen transfers and each one we had to sign a consent form for the Embryo to be thawed and they had to speak to my husband before transfer too, to ensure he was happy to go ahead with it. As long as it is signed in the same month you are doing it they were fine with that. I always brought mine home and got my husband to sign and then just took a photo of it and emailed it to the clinic.
