Hi Pancake. Many years ago, I suffered with PCOS and very overweight. Fortunately, I set to losing my excess weight, which took me nearly a year, and I managed a pregnancy naturally. It can happen, but often women with the syndrome are not ovulating, so often need some help with either medication or IVF. Sometimes ovarian drilling can help to, as it allows eggs to "escape" during ovulation. Not much info but hope it helps a little. Good luck with whatever you have to do, if needed. Diane
I suffer with pcos andbit took me 5 years tc naturally I was giving up hope till I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant now I have my lb who is 6 months old. .. .. all I can say is never give up hope..... if you cant do it naturally then there is things that can help you..... like stated above medication ivf etc speak to your gp about it xx
Been on Letrozole for the last 6 months and nothing happened so far
HI, I have PCOS too (no overweight at all) and I did not ovulate for >1year. So I got drugs to induce ovulation. Although it took me 1.5 more years, I am now 10 weeks pregnant, naturally so to say (still drugs to induce ovulation). I know many people with PCOS that need drugs but then conceive naturally. But there are also many women with PCOS who conceive completely naturally without drugs, as they do ovulate, though irregularly. So the bottom line is, you can conceive naturally, it depends on how severe your PCOS is.
Good luck xx
Ahh CONGRATULATIONS!!! Such amazing news for you 🤰🏻My PCOS is not too bad I don’t think because my fertility specialist hasn’t said anything about drugs BUT we are waiting on our first appointment with the nurse to discuss our IVF plan etc so perhaps I will need it! All the best with your pregnancy! Xx
Thank you! So far everything is super smooth and good. i guess it depends on where you live and what they do. Where I live you have to go through all doses of clomid, and then 6 rounds of gonal-f injections before you are admitted to IVF. Hopefully your appointment will bring some more clarifications, but the bottom line is: whatever happens, never give up! It might be a very exhausting and difficult journey but no matter how long it is, there is always hope that it will work out!
xx
I have PCOS, been overweight my entire life. I’ve had 2 pregnancies, both completely natural. Took us nearly 4 years to conceive my eldest (who is 3) and only 2 months to conceive my scone (who is 1)
It definitely can happen. Before I fell pregnant I lost a good chunk of weight but I was still technically classed as ‘obese’ when I caught naturally. I was about 5kg less second time around and I’m certain that under a particular weight my body it’s like a pregnancy sweet spot, if that makes sense?
I have PCOS got pregnant naturally and quickly. Unfortunately 2 months ago my pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks, not sure if the fact I have PCOS was the cause. TTC now again, this month was my first try after the miscarriage but I got a BFN
