Morning,

Has anyone used Access Fertility to help with finances? Says it’s a 100% refund if you don’t have a baby. Any experiences? Or if this isn’t allowed please PM me.

Thank you 💖

Hi I am looking at using them also. It says subject to medical review any idea what this entails?I did call them and they said I need to have an appointment at the clinic where I want the treatment then they would request info from them and let me know within 2 weeks x

Thank you,m for the information. I guess they review each case individually and what the risks are. 🤞 hope you get accepted and it’s good news for you. X 💛

I was offered 2 rounds with NO refund at all by them as I’d had 4 failed transfers when I applied. Thought that was harsh. But ended up with 7 embryos from my first round with them and currently 5 weeks pregnant so if all goes well, they did me a huge favour!!! I wanted to pay for 3 rounds with 💯 refund. So glad now that they wouldn’t allow it!!

Initially that must have felt very personal and unfair, another hurdle. Not thought about that possibility- thank you.

Woop woop Congratulations on your pregnancy , that’s so exciting!! 💛 x

I was gutted when I was told my application was not accepted as I felt that they looked at my results and decided it was unlikely I was going to fall pregnant so that upset me. They say they offer 💯 refunds to help people with the high costs of ivf but they’re not actually helping - it’s a business to make money out of people and yes it’s great if you do get a refund but most people probably spend more than they need to using their scheme. I’m just so glad (if all works out ok for me) that they only offered me their lowest deal! Good luck x

We used them after our NHS round failed. We opted for the 100% refund package on 3 rounds. So glad we did as we have had 3 fresh cycles and 2 frozen transfers. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and we have one frozen embryo from our last round too.

It took away a lot of the financial stress meaning we could go into each round thinking about our emotional health and without having to have conversations about affording it. We still had to pay for medication for each round, which has added up too, but having the security of the refund has helped us as we moved through the rounds.

Good luck, whatever you chose to do.

X

We’re using you, the refund you’re entitled to varies by ages group and what you’ve paid. It’s worth looking into. We don’t get any refund (I’m 42), we could have paid more to get a refund package but that made no sense. Our package includes 2 rounds (if you have a live birth from the first the 2nd is cancelled) it only worked out slightly more expensive than 1 round with the clinic. I’d suggest getting a cost breakdown from the clinic and comparing to Access.

We used it after our 1 NHS Funded cycle failed back on March 2017. We opted for the 3 cycles, 100% refund. Our first round with AF was a lot more of a positive cycle as there was no worry of it being our only hope as I knew we would still have two more attempts that we wouldn’t have to pay for... also I think I knew what to expect so it was easier and they changed my medication which my body responded better to. Unfortunately even with the highest grade embryo this cycle failed in December 2017 but we had 7 embryos good enough for freezing! We went back in March 2018 for a medicated frozen cycle & had two embryos transferred. I had my positive test 8 days later. I am currently sat with my sleeping little girl Ayva who is 7 months old!! X

I am with access fertility too and paid for 3 cycles with a 50% refund if no success. I paid for my first round and realised how expensive it is to pay one at a time. At my clinic provided you need more than one cycle from the package to get pregnant I don’t think you lose out financially. It does also give you peace of mind financially to know that 3 rounds are paid for and takes the pressure off a bit if you think of it as a longer game. The only downside I suppose is it commits you to 1 clinic for the whole process. I’m happy with my clinic but if I wasn’t tied to it perhaps I would get a

second opinion after 2 failed cycles...good luck with whatever you decide x

You have to qualify by their criteria. I had very low amh and was immediately told there was no chance they would insure me! X

We are doing the 50% refund. It’s expensive but that’s with three rounds of IVF.

We were approved straight away but I have good AMH. On our first round and with one FET we’d already have paid the clinic £6000.

If it works at the first FET we’ll have lost money but if we need a second round then we’ll have saved a lot.

The prices vary for each clinic but they can send you the prices via email x
