Hi
A slightly random question but does anyone know if clinics are able to tell how many eggs are mature before they strip the cells to do ICSI??
Thanks!

They should be able to see a polar body outside the cell wall. The polar body contains half of the chromosomes, generated during meiotic division, and then discarded.
I had my transfer last Thursday lunchtime, they called me later that afternoon to say how many eggs were mature and gone on to have ICSI. I then got a call the next morning an in schedule to say how they were progressing.
Hope that helps
