21 eggs retrieved only 7 mature?

Hi all,

Sorry 2nd update of the day... I had 21 eggs retrieved and ive just had the call to say 7 are mature is this ok? Im going through ICSI so im assuming this is 7 fertilized rather than mature? I can't help but stress as this is such a drastic drop?

Just seeking words of wisdom or reassurance i suppose 😞

Id say 7 is positive 🤨 they have to be mature for them to inject. Will they update you on day 3 then?

They said they will call tomorrow with another update 🤷‍♀️🤞 but she did say the 7 that are there do look good... But its hard to not feel deflated after been told 21 but then 7 are mature I expect to loose some but not 14 but either way it's an improvement from last two rounds 1st 11 eggs non mature 2nd 6 eggs 3 mature 1 made to day 5 and was transferred but BFN so trying to look on the positive side

I feel ya 😘💐💖 it’s a total head wreck 🤪🤯 tomo you will know if they’ve fertilised normally or not and will have a realistic outlook of what to expect. Let’s hope ya get some good quality ones this time 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💖💖💖💐💐💐💐 I think this part is the absolute hardest because it’s literally out of our hands 🙌 at least you’ve a phone call in the morning 👍🏻🙏🏻💖

Sounds good! We only had 14 eggs collected, out of which 8 fertilised and 3 matured and made it to blastocyst. We had to go with ICSI as well.
