In a panic. Help!!!

Hi ladies, this is my 7th go and you would think I would know it all, but I just don’t. So started period last weds, stims started on Thursday, scan Monday showed 12 folicles, but none above 7mm. Dr said to carrying on stims same dose and not to start cetrotide yet. I got what I call my normal mucus last night before I ovulate and this morning I took a test and it was positive for ovulation. I phoned the clinic and they have said you can get a false positive on stims. Has anyone got any experience of this? Or know anything that might help. I have a little boy already and I don’t remember this happening during that IVF cycle. I’ve booked in for a scan today because I just want to be sure, but any advice would be really appreciated.

I was told not to take any notice of ovulation tests during IVF as your levels are all over the place. Trust your clinic. I am sure all is fine and whilst I am no medical expert I would be surprised if a 7mm follicle ovulated. Good luck xx

Thank-you for the reply. I ovulated in my medicated FET in March and that wasn’t suppose to happen either, but it did. I think this is why I’m so panicked this time, as I am described in many ways from “interesting” to “unusual” by doctors, as my body never does what they want it to do and not just with IVF. You would think I would be use to this by now, it’s my 7th go, but I feel like a newbie all over again!!!

No honestly it was helpful, I’m just back in the zone of IVF sends me into a crazy person no matter how much I try to tell myself, just calm the hell down. Haha 😂

Hi pj. Oh t's awful when you get in a pickle over things like this. Knowing that the Cetrotide would prevent ovulation will play on your mind. I think you need to trust what they have said to you, bu you've done the right thing in having a scan today. Hopefully by now you will have had it and your mind has been put to rest. Thinking of you and I do hope the rest of your cycle goes to plan. Diane

Scan is at 2.55pm, trying not to torture myself by staring at the clock, the joys of IVF, if I get to the stage of the 2ww, god help me 😂. Thank you so much for replying to me, it does feel at times that only people on here get it, everyone else around me it’s feels like their thinking “oh god here we go again”. ( yep paranoia is setting in) I’m honestly a reasonable and rational person when I’m not doing IVF 😂

If it helps, I had my "normal mucus" from a few days after starting stimming, until a few days after EC. The doctor has told me it is normal, due to the stimming, and not connected to ovulation.
