Discovered source of bleeding

I have a sub chorionic bleed, quite close to the sac containing baby, but baby is still clinging on, still measuring great and still has a healthy heartbeat. At least I know there's a reason for the spotting I've been having. The sonographer didn't seem too concerned so I have to take solace in that!

Great news baby is looking good. If sonographer wasn't too concerned I guess it's not in a position to affect the pregnancy and hopefully will clear up by itself? I really hope so

How are you feeling?

Yes, I'm so relieved. She seemed to think it would absorb a bit like a bruise, with minimal bleeding. Big relief!! Apart from the stress I feel much better, nausea is a lot more manageable and tiredness seems to be decreasing as well x

That's great news all round, what a relief for you. Hope you'll be able to enjoy it and let the anxiety go now.

We're doing great. I'm feeling well except for getting bullied by this little lady. She's kicking the hell out of me but as soon as Daddy puts his hand there she stops, all innocent like butter wouldn't melt. She's playing us already hahaha

It’s a horrible situation to be in I’ve had 5 bleeds during my pregnancy, however baby is fine and I’m now 30 wks. Haven’t bleed since 23wks . I hope it settles down and your pregnancy goes well.

I have the same thing and I think I’m a few days behind you. It’s so worrying but good that you’ve had reassurance today. I have another scan tomorrow so I’ve got everything crossed. Hope you can relax a bit now xx

It's awfully scary isn't it? I have no more scans now until 12 week nhs dating scan which really scares me but all I can do is listen to the experts and trust that if there was anything to worry about they wouldn't just send me away to wait for 12 week scan x

Definitely sounds like you don’t need to worry but I know that’s easier said than done! Sounds like your bub is doing well though which is really promising 💗

What a huge relief, I'm so glad little baby is doing well. Sending you all my love xx

Hey lovely we had a holes at six weeks and they could see it on the scan. They said it would absorb and it did and didn’t effect baby. Took to about 10 weeks to fully absorbed. I had a bit of spotting in that time. Hopefully this will give you more assurance. Everything crossed for you. Big hugs xx

This is what I had, I actually still have it now but it’s sitting on the inside of my outer oss in my cervix trying to come out! It was the bane of my life for the entire first trimester and sent me into a frenzy every time it bled heavily but it didn’t harm the baby in any way so try (I know it’s hard!!) not to worry..! Are they going to monitor it? I have been having bi-weekly scans with EPU which have been reassuring as it meant I got to see Bubs lots more! Now it’s gone, I have to wait!

I’m sure everything will be absolutely fine and as you say, you now know why the spotting is occurring.. Congratulations and I hope it heals up soon so you can fully suspend in the joy of pregnancy! ❤️ Xxx

That’s good news. You must be so relieved. I don’t know if they told you how big yours was. I had a clot about 1cm that caused me to have spotting on and off until week 7. The sonographer said it would get absorbed into my womb lining. After that it just stopped bleeding so I can only assume that’s what happened. I know other ladies have had bigger ones and ones which lasted longer than week 7 and gone on to be fine. Hopefully yours will stop bleeding soon and you can start to relax a little (easier said than done I know when you’ve been through so much to get this far).
