Successful egg collect yesterday but brown spotting today and lower back pain and tummy ache but feels like my period might be coming on probably worrying unnecessarily but worried about loosing my lining just which would be so cruel not to get to transfer on Tuesday. I think I’m so sensitive to feelings down there after our miscarriage, I keep disappearing out the room to check if I’m bleeding. This journey really is a rollercoaster of emotions felt like I’d won the lottery this morning after finding out we had achieved fertilisation now worried again. What are everything else’s experience of ec to transfer? Xx

Worried after egg collection
Hi midge8, I've been having cramping since ec on and off and have had transfer today, I also bled last time but not this time so I wouldn't think it is anything to worry about, your body is going through a lot, the back pain I can relate too also and for me it's being in those stirrups that hurt my back.
Just take it easy and try to drink plenty by day 3 I felt much better xx
The spotting may be from where the needle went through the vagina to get to the ovaries - I bled a small amount right after egg collection, and your brown spotting may well be a bit of blood from yesterday.
Considering the number of eggs you got (well done, great news!!) I'm not surprised you're feeling sore around the abdomen and even lower back so it's probably nothing to worry about.
Hopefully by the time transfer rolls around you'll be feeling much better, but if your lining doesn't play ball you've got really good numbers so hopefully they'll keep developing well and be able to be frozen and you can do a FET later when you and your lining are in tip top condition
Hope you feel better soon, best of luck xxx
Thanks we couldn’t believe it been walking like John Wayne all week, sooo uncomfortable, but worth it. Fingers crossed it will all be ok, good luck with your journey xxx
I had 12 collected, but had over 20 big follicles and the last few days before EC were extremely uncomfortable so you have my full sympathy!! Dr decided it would be better to do freeze all and I was disappointed at first but it was actually great to have that time to recover and feel 100% before transfer. Either way, hope it's successful for you xxx
