Bloods Done for Egg Share Programme

We just got back from our first proper consultation with the Dr. 1000 blood vials later, and no fainting. Yesss. Looks like the blood test results are the final hurdle before we can start our IVF and sharing our eggs. We didn’t realise that some women are waiting over a year for egg donors so we feel really good that we can have this opportunity to help other families.

Surprisingly we are so chilled at the moment. Just taking it month by month. We feel like we know it will happen; it’s just about when - not if. (And really - in hindsight.....if it never happened, at least we tried and can enjoy each other regardless)

Blood tests should take about four weeks to come back so I imagine we’ll start the actually process end July/August.

Until then we will enjoy the weather and the occasional glass of wine. And RELAAAAAX.

Good Luck to all x

That's fantastic news! And taking things one day at a time and just relaxing is a very good approach. Best of luck with your cycle, and I think it's wonderful you've decided to also help another family in the process xx
