Why oh why does nothing stick. It’s four fails now.

I’m petrified that my donor egg round will go the same way and I will lose the £10k we have just spent out of a total of £22k.

I know and I'm just so sorry. What are the clinic saying about this? Using donor eggs usually increases the odds of a live birth. Sometimes we just have to do s9methinb differently.

Gosh Orla Im so sorry! Its hard to stay positive but you're starting a new chapter with DE, of course there are no guarantees but perhaps with better quality eggs they will stick with you....could your chemicals be due to your embryos not being strong enough?! Also have you though about trying prednisolone, I know you have spoken about immunes in the past but unsure if if you have tried them?! I cant say for sure but my one and only BFP was with steriod cover. Big love an hugs.xx

I’m so so sorry to hear this. Had hoped this was it for you.

I wondered if you’d had or considered having any immunes tests? Might be worth asking your clinic?

I’ve had both cytokines and natural killer cells tested and both were higher than normal.

Take time to recover from your loss be kind to yourself

Wishing you the best xxx

My clinic “don’t believe” In immune testing and said no point in nk testing as they just dish out steroids anyway. I’m going to get a second opinion and get the testing done elsewhere

I would agree with this to a certain extent! I have had the tests done (which were fairly expensive) and all Im having now is prednisolone and intralipids so if you're current clinic were willing to let you have steriods then I would save your money not bother testing.xx

Did you have intralipids blood thinners or steroids before ? I read a paper also that ivig can help some women but only if they have auto immune issues.

May be worth getting a second opinion to cover all your bases

I think it’s good to ask questions and get as many opinions as you can

Wishing you the best xx

I had clexane and prednisolone for the ivf transfer that stuck, and that failed too 10 days after positive test.

I’m going to just get this donor round done and have the embryos collected but get a second opinion and maybe immune testing xx

I’m so sorry Orla. So devastating after getting a positive result. We seem to be experiencing similar issues and had our fourth slip away like this earlier this month. I understand how hard it is to remain positive. I’m sorry I can’t offer any advice regarding further tests because our clinic haven’t offered any. I am wondering about whether we should be seeking a second opinion. Really hoping the donor egg round is successful for you. Like others have said, hopefully it may help to increase the chances of a little one sticking. Big hugs xx

I’m so sorry Orla. Have you had an ERA (I think that’s right) test to look at your womb receptiveness? I don’t know much about it but I see women talking about it on another fertility group I’m in.

Not what you're looking for?
