Switched from Gonal-F 300 to Menopur 375 with cetrotide

Hi all,

So this is Day 6 of our first IVF journey. We went for a follow-up yesterday to decide fresh vs frozen.

And after the scan we were told the follicles were not responding as well so switched to Menopur. The injections.... the stinging is terrible. I’m a nurse and it took me a long while to muster the courage to inject. Had hubby on standby just in case. Gonal F was a breeze!

My question is: has anyone switched to various treatments mid cycle and worked out in the end? I guess I’m nervous to see what will happen in the next few days.

Hi I didn’t switch but had to take Gonal F, Menopur and Cetrotide anyway! The Cetrotide was the worst for me. If you inject super, super slowly and then ice it a little after then it should be fine (it was for me). I sympathise! It’s not the most pleasant experience but you will get through it I promise x

Thank you Hifer for that encouragement! I put ice and it really helped this morning. It seems to get easier once I set my mind to it!
