Hi I’ve had 4 transfers and had two transferred 3 times. I’d always choose two if I could as I’m 40. In the 2ww now, yet to get a positive 🤞🏻 good luck xx

When’s test day? Is this your first cycle? My OTD is 30th. If I test early it will only be the day before! I’m too scared. And last time tested 3 days before my bloods and it was like grieving for 3 days and then all again on OTD. My clinic always do bloods. X x

My OTD is 31st and my 1st cycle but will be the only full ivf cycle as self funding. Bless you, that so true, I was thinking 3 days b4 actual OTD but if it negative it’s doing any favours as of course be doing it again. I will say a little prayer for yours as I’m praying for mine plz let me know xx

Hi ladies,

I’m in my TWW and it’s driving me mad. My OTD is 2nd June! How you getting on? It’s my first cycle so don’t know what to expect. I’m 36 and had two embryos transferred 3dt. I’m worried as I fertilised 7 eggs but all but two didn’t go very well. The clinic said that the two I had left were good grades but I was hoping for a day 5! Trying to stay positive but it’s so hard!!

Hi, I’m driving myself crazy 🤯!! It’s so hard. I haven’t really got any side effects/symptoms this cycle 😓 best of luck. You’ve done well to get to the 2ww. Stay strong. X

Thanks! Same to you! I find reading other people’s stories so comforting! Feels so close, but still so far!

Not wanted time to pass like this since I was a kid at Christmas wondering if I’d been naughty or nice! 🤣

Hi there,

I’m 37 and recently had my first transfer of 1 embryo. Unfortunately it didn’t stick this time.

We’re hoping to start again ASAP - our dr has warned us that as we have decent embryos we have a 30% chance of twins if we have 2, but we’re going for this option next time. My partner would prefer 1 but we’ve talked it through a lot and he is happy to go with my preference of 2.

Best of luck whatever you decide, it’s a tough decision.

Sorry to hear that it did not work out, I have been there a few times myself :(

I had double transfers before but I have now read that if one is better quality than the other the body will focus on the poor quality one and cycle won’t be successful so I am freaking out ... I am quite scared of being pregnant with twins but at the age of 37 I don’t have much time ...

Not poor quality, I meant to say poorer :)

Ooh I actually posted about this myself recently because I’d heard the same thing about different grades embryos.

Seemed like pretty mixed results - some drs aren’t keen on the idea but then some lovely success stories with it so it can definitely happen!

Goodness gracious, making all these decisions is a nightmare 😌 hopefully my biologist will give me some advice otherwise I don’t know what I will do 😐

My clinic only allows patients to transfer one at a time...all the best with it!

My clinic will only transfer 2 at a time if you're 36 and older. It may be a good idea to do that so that you don't have to deal with the meds on another cycle. We transferred 1 emby as I am 32 y/o and he is growing strong (just heard the heartbeat last week!) But yes, i Suggest 2 at a time if you're 37... Worse case scenario is twins ! Good luck!

I'm 39. Transferred 2 and 1 stuck and is kicking me right now. 4ab and 4bc so different grades but I don't think enormously different. Good luck whatever you decide xxx

Thank you MissSao, I wanted to transfer two but we have day 5 and one day 6 embryos... not sure whether it will work if you transfer them on the same day ...

I'm 37 and due to do an FET cycle soon. They are planning on transferring 2 5 day blastocysts. In my fresh cycle in April they transferred 2 3 day embryos but said if I'd had a day 5 transfer they would only transfer 1 due to risk of twins. I'm not sure why they have changed their opinion this time round but I am happy to go with 2. I think my embryos are similar gradings and when I asked the doctor he didnt seem too worried about any differences as he said grading is subjective.

I also have a day 6 frosty left but not sure if they would transfer that with a day 5 though- i didnt actually think to ask this until they asked me to sign consent for defrosting my embryos and a discussion around numbers came up. The nurse wasn't sure what they'd do and said we can discuss later with the doctor. I'm hoping my 2 day 5 blastos survive the defrost and we dont need to have the discussion! 🤞🤞🤞

I was 38 when transferred 2, one stayed with us and currently 27+5 wks pregnant. It was my first FET transfer with two embryos, two previous transfers with one ended in mmc and one was just bfn. For us it was reasonable decision to transfer two on third go xxx
