Had my embryo (blastocyst) transfer at day 5. Doctor recommended to transfer 3 embryos. Can it be triplets? Or a single pregnancy?

Day 5 - 3 embryos transferred. Has anyone had 3 embryos transferred? What were your outcomes?
I had 3 embryos transferred. There were lots of people warning me about the dangers of multiple births etc etc but as I was 45 at the time and had not had success with other embryo transfers I was confident to go ahead. Sadly it resulted in BFN but I would definitely do it again because for me it would be very unlikely all 3 would implant and it would be impossible to choose which 2 to transfer if I had to make the choice as who knows which of the three might be successful. If you are much younger than me, there is probably a higher likelihood of a twin or triplet pregnancy. I would discuss it with your doctors in any event and be guided by their advice!
Hi, not me but I do know a woman (her kids go the school where I work) who had chikdren quite late. She has triplets - 2x boys and 1x girl - none identical.
Hi that's amazing that all at blastocyst. I had day 3 transfer and put 3 in and resulted in Ecotopic Pregnancy just happened last month to me. I had a positive Pregnancy test and thought this was it but unfortunately not. This was my fourth try so really down about it.
After reading up I did read articles that the more embryo transferred the more risk of Ecotopic but that's with older woman I am 42 so made sense with me.
It's completely your choice and if you have age on your side then why not. I guess there is no right or wrong answer its down to what you want to ultimately do. In future I will only transfer one at a time max 2 maybe.xxx
