Having sex during 2ww
I think it all depends on what clinic you go to. Some say it’s ok but ours said no. Nothing until after test date. What did they say to you? X
Well then I would think that you will be absolutely fine hun xxx
I heard something about the uterine contractions (from an orgasm) maybe having an impact on implantation. Do what you feel comfortable with. I always say don't do something that you'll feel bad about if it's not successful this time.
My Dr's said no sex for 4-5 days after transfer. I had sex on day 5. I just read my dos and don't after transfer discharge paper and clearly states no sex 4-5 days after transfef. Hope that helps
I def will. My beta is scheduled on 5/16. Baby dust to all of us.
Day 16 after 5 day transfer is that? X
Hi . I had sex on 3dpt . Sex don’t do any harm ....look like “helps “....☺️my baby girl is turning 2 on Wednesday. Xx
What's 2ww?
The 2 week wait. It's the typical time we all have to wait between transfer and test day. X
Transfer? I'm totally behind on this forum
This forum is mostly full of people who are undertaking ivf - not exclusively but a lot of us. During a non ivf month when trying naturally, there is also generally 2 weeks between ovulation and when your period is due - I.e. earliest you can test to get a reliable result.
With ivf, you stimulate your ovaries to allow collection of as many eggs as possible then, once the eggs have been harvested, they are basically put in a petri dish with the sperm or sperm injected into the eggs (icsi). They are then left overnight and they see how many have fertilised the next day. Around 3-5 and sometimes 6 days after that the best fertilised egg(s) are placed back into the waiting womb. Then starts the ivf 2 week wait for test day to understand if the process has resulted in a positive pregnancy result. X
Ah ok thank you. I am not having ivf I have polycystic ovaries and can't have children. Not sure how i got on this. Thank you for your answer.
It's the fertility network. It's a very supportive site with lots of people who are on all kinds of journeys. You definitely may find people here with pcos who have been told otherwise. I personally know someone who has pcos, and through ivf has a child. Xx
