Cancelled operation

Hi, I had my operation cancelled Wednesday as the surgeon ran out of time in theatre. When should I get my new date as my husband needs to arrange his 6 weeks off

I think if it’s cancelled at the last minute it should be within 28 days.

I’d phone the hospital & see how soon they can fit you in. PALS can help if it’s a bigger wait.

I have had confirmation that it will be done by end of may in a private hospital but still waiting for a date.

That’s good news then you don’t have a long wait , but really they should give you a date. I would chase it up, lots of organising needs to be done prior surgery & that is fair enough. Good luck xoxo
